Talon Pistol …
My Talon pistol … need to shorten and lighten the barrel some and find a refillable co2 cylinder that is small and lighter in weight than the air source. Pistol scope is a 2X BSA … would like to find a nicer one of those.
I need to make some wooden pistol grips for it and a matching forearm would be nice.
As it sits I am getting approximately 80 shots at 725 fps with RWS Super Domes … not bad for a “pistol” 😆

OK how about a Talon SS with this tank.
13ci tank fill press. is 3000psi like this.
And a 1200psi Regulator for some PCP action in .177?? 💡
I can get 92 shots with my modded 2250 so a Talon should be in that range with the wheel set right?

Plain-jane pin valve 3.5oz tank will run 11.1 to 11.7oz. EMPTY. Add 3.5oz. for full. The weight difference is in the type of pin valve used (the newest ones are a bit heavier).
The ones with an On/Off type valve are a bit longer and heavier.

Not real useful as those AirSourse cartridges are long and heavy (longer and heavier than the 3.5oz. tanks), but will add this just in case.
Are two ways to reuse those AirSourse cartridges. If you add an in-line on/off can turn it “on”, fill it, turn it “off”. Could add a RAP4 airsourse adaptor…unile the others, it has a pin valve…so once you put that on the empty 88gr., can treat it like any other paintball tank.

Be aware, there are no burst disks, so basially there is no safety valve. If you fill it with more than 3oz. or let it get too hot, can get very ugly very quickly.
Of the two, the RAP4 adapter at $15 is cheaper than an in-line on/off and non-valved adapter.

The Air Source cylinders are steel and weigh 13.0 oz. when empty ! They are 1.5 inches wide and 7.75 inches long … the paintball adapter adds another inch or so when assembled and weighs another 3.0 oz.
16 oz in metal and dang near 9 inches in length just to get 3 ounces of co2 !

Are all of those 3.5 oz. tanks aluminum ? If not what brand is yours ??
I have a 3.5 oz. tank right here and it is 6.50″ long and 2″ wide,and its alum. co2.
Shot some groups with it this evening at 30 yards and a few of them went under a half inch with the pistol scope. With some work this will be a serious pistol !
I’ll keep working on it to make it more of a pistol … fun project 😀
Dang, you sure did fool me! I think it is because you took the hand grip off. This is one sweet project though man.
Not AirSource, it has a standard CO2 thread, so it will screw right into the AF adapter.
That 3.5 ounce Elite tank says …
“Has a standard thread and will fit into any paintball marker”
Does that mean it will screw directly into our co2 adapters that come with the gun instead of having to use the paintball adapter I bought at Wal-Mart ??
That little adapter is heavy for its size … would like to eliminate that !

Yeah, one guy sales them with a 1400psi Reg. But you shot count will drop alot.
