Vavle to low?
I read some where here that the valve can be to low, is this what thy were talking about? 
If you can not see it it is enough to catch a finger nail on.

Okay I hate to say it… but whats a feeler gauge and where do I get one?
Well i moved the TH down a quarter turn see if that helps any.

Are you saying to the top of the valve to the bottom of TH is more then.294 or between bottle collar and TH?
I was just saying that the gap looks to be more than .294mm like sharp said – but he corrected himself to say .294cm (which is 2.94mm).

Measuring that way is to put it politely…INACCURATE.
I suggest you get a feeler gauge and use that to measure the top hat distance then use the caliper to measure the thickness of the feeler gauges.

Since your Valve retainer (the brass part around the TH/valve stem) is below flush, you will not get a true reading (it will be fine for your reference as long as you measure the same every time) but as compared to any settings discussed by most others, the measurement is taken from the retainer to the bottom of the TH.
BTW the reading above is: .294x mm. If this is new to you, feel free to PM me and i’d be happy to explain reading the dial.

Ninja you are correct. it is not 2.04cm (I should have paid better attention in school) .
The dial made 2 turns past 0 so i assumed that to be 2 not .204 maybe?
Never seen a caliper measure in cm as native units before – Usually either Inches or mm, if that’s mm and is a measurement of the thin area shown then its about 0.080″.
If that is indeed 2.04cm then it has to be the entire tophat length protruding from bottle – that int relevant so re-measure and just measure the gap shown in pic.
Bikini my caliper(I don’t Use it alot) reads 2.04cm
Walkon you may have something there. I never learned technique.
Probably not your tank. It is most likely technique.
