What is a Tony Tune job ??? HELP
I just got to thinking about this Condor I purchased. The gun is super great and it has been tuned by Tony… What I was thinking is that I have no idea what is done to one of his super shooters other than what I see on his site and I don’t really understand all of that. I just realized I don’t know a darn thing about this gun. All I do is fill it with air and shoot it and take it for granted. Can anyone explain just what all goes into a gun that Tony works over..? It may be too broad of a question. I have tried to read up on it but still don’t really understand.

I have a 1 pc tophat installed by Tony and made by Tim@custombrakz. Happy, happy…no need to adjust anything. solid as a brick of gold…
no grub screws to retighten…no dents from anything…
When I originally made this post on September 28th I had just acquired a AA266 .25 Condor w/12 inch barrel. I had no idea what I had. I have learned a bit since then and only by asking question and reading here on the forum.
I was wondering if your 1 piece tophay is similar to the one that I have…

Once it has been set you just leave it alone. The same really applies for the Talon tank. Once it is set there is no need to adjust it unless a change is made to the hammer, mainspring or valve.
So treat it like a sore pecker…Don’t touch it.
If you have a 1 piece tophat and stem the you are good to go. You never have to adjust them and they are made to the proper size.
Adam, you are dead on the money right. Soon after I got my Condor I started messing with the top hat and didn’t realize how delicate it was and sure enough, I put some pretty good size dents in it. If Tony touched it, I can’t imagine anything I could do to it that would make it better lol. I would of been better off buying a garage sale micro-wave lol.

i got into fishing again, and then i took over someones track toy, a miata that costs more than i could imagine.
so between fishing, school (ill never finish, procrastinate much too often), and racing around the hill country with the local miata group, i cant airgun, lol. mabbe ill do that now.

DadW…..please don’t take your AA266 gun apart. Please. Curiosity killed the feral cat. I just had my AA266 .25 out for a stroll yesterday afternoon at the lake. Some of the boys had never seen her. Only heard me extoll the virtues of my baby. The boys about shit themselves!!!! I let them do the shooting, and they were easily hitting steel buoy signs out to 150 yards plus. The splash that .25 slug makes when it hits the water is unreal.
They were so engrossed in shooting my gun that it is remotely possible that if a hottie showed up to show them her titties they may not even have noticed. 😆 😆

Just like a springer, these guns ‘run in’ when fitted with parts and after having been worked on.
You will not have the same gun when you put it back together. I’m not saying it will be messed up, but the parts will need a short run in period again to mate up properly and such.
Best policy is what Adam said earlier….a phrase that he borrowed from me.

Just remember it cost a lot of money to have Tony get it back to where it is after someone takes it apart 😀
Probably would be better if you went to the kitchen and took apart the microwave. It would cost less to fix
