Only one airgun for the end of the world

The very title of this post leads us down the wrong road. There is no ONE anything, but rather a collection…like Rob’s. Sooner or later everything breaks. That’s when it is time for another if repairs cannnot be effected.

I must admit that I have gotten very good service from my Benjamin 392. And it is still a go to gun. It never fails me…sometimes I don’t do my part…but that’s obviously my fault.

Bottom line here is that you cannot trust our media. Propaganda and profits (which are connected) is the main reason they lie.
So yes, the Fox News is also NOBODY.

Oh, if we are talking about only one airgun, I’d pick a self-powered .22 TX200, it will sure get me some meat to survive…

Ah, yes, the media – the terrorists’ best friend. Our media will cover anything with sufficient emotional content. They have proven a total disregard for common sense and common decency. Every time the media really screws up badly, and comes under even a mild attack from the viewers/readers/listeners, you know what you see/hear/read? MEDIA PEOPLE INTERVIEWING MEDIA PEOPLE ABOUT WHAT A GOOD JOB THE MEDIA DID.
It is my opinion that one of the most dangerous groups of entities that warp the truth is “think tanks.” Think tanks are a totally different animal than political action committees.
It doesn’t matter if your main interest is homeland defense, first responders, public health, law, science, etc. Think tanks exist in all the aforementioned areas to get your mind and have their agendas predominate all others.
Think tanks are organizations which allegedly exist to serve as a source for analysis and research on issues of importance to the general public. They themselves are the ones who determine whether an issue is important, not the general public. They exist in about one-third of the countries of the world. The issues they select to analyze and research are most often driven by their own agenda. The funding for think tanks comes primarily from major foundations and large businesses. In the United States, a foundation is usually a tax-exempt entity, allowed to be created and allowed to continue its existence if the foundation does not promote a political point of view. So, if you head a foundation, and you are an extreme left-wing liberal, for example, you cannot have your foundation promote extreme left-wing ideologies. What you do is to set up a think tank which then does promote your ideologies. These ideologies, it is hoped, will become laws, and thus policies which shape the country. And it’s all legal.
Most think tanks have, as employees, people who are given lofty titles such as “senior fellow” or “research scholar.” Some employees do not hold the appropriate academic credentials in their supposed area of expertise at the think tank. Think tanks are not universities. Supposedly, universities are entities where research and analysis is first conducted and then from which conclusions are drawn. It’s the reverse in think thanks. The founders of think tanks decide first what they want to promote, and then conduct only the research and analysis that supports their party line – selective truth seeking.
Very much like companies who have goods and services to sell. First, the advertising people decide what they want to say, and the marketing people deliver the message. In think tanks, the “product” is ideas. Think tanks serve as self-appointed advisors to elected officials up to, and including the White House. They provide supposed “experts” who not only testify in front of Congress, but also appear with nauseating regularity on talk shows. Do you know the difference between marketing and public relations? Think about that. I contend think tanks are called that because the spokespeople almost never give you fact, but opinion – and the mainstream media aids and abets them!
We are supposed to be getting some fact – not opinions. You should give absolutely NO credence to any “expert” who starts to supposedly give us the truth with a lead-in of: “Well, I think…” when fact and not opinion is supposed to be the answer. I don’t care what YOU THINK; I wanna know WHAT you know and HOW you came to know it.
LOTS of people get kicks tracking down the truth. Bless you!!!
What often happens is few people get their noses bent out of joint over something and try and fool the public by making them think some giant, legitimate entity is backing the broken-noses. What these groups do is set up some phony citizen’s group and stocks it with “scientific experts” who spin out contrived research to support their own agenda. This is a very frequent occurrence. It has a long history. For example, during an election year, you’ll hear some bozo du jour breathlessly announce something like: “This just in. The New York Times has just endorsed, for the presidency of the United States…” The New York Times is NOBODY. The New York Times is a piece of paper, called the Articles of Incorporation, which makes them a separate legal person. However, it has none of the five senses of the animal world. General Motors is NOBODY. IBM is NOBODY. The University of Notre Dame is NOBODY. The United States Marine Corps is NOBODY. The Arthur Vining Davis Foundation is NOBODY. When something like an endorsement or opinion is announced, it is nothing more than one person or a couple of people employed by that organization – AT THE TOP — who want the public to believe that this monolithic organization, with all its (self-proclaimed) vast resources and intelligence is, oh so much more enlightened than you are, and with their announcement are trying to get you to go along with their agenda.
Now, how about that?

the other point of this is the whole “end of life as we know it” so you’ll probably be shooting other things then animals to protect yourself, and I’d rather have something other then a .177 or .22 airgun for the 2 legged predators.

so bow and arrow for power, and a sling shot for endless supply of “ammo”, no end of supply in rocks … unless you live in the desert
