LED flashlight
For kicks and grins, I bought a coleman LED flashlight at Walmart today. I thought for sure it might fit in a 1″ scope ring to mount to the TSS, but I was wrong, it’s just a tad bit too fat. Oh well, it was a neat thought.
Anyhow, this little light for $29.95 is pretty awesome. It runs off 3 AAA batteries and has a white 115 lumen LED bulb, then a dial on the head that can switch off the white and turn on either a lower powered red or blue LED light.
The white is bright as hell and makes a true white light instead of that funky off coloered white that most LED’s produce. Can’t wait till tonight to try out the red in the pasture to see if it will light up eyes or not.
Now then, anybody have any ideas for something that will mount this to the TSS frame like the scope ring idea I had ?

Her husband Leonard could easily twist off and become a talon freak too. I took one of mine out there to show him and he was about to hyperventilate over what it would do….. Take yours when you go out there and talk about it to him and you’ve got a friend for life….
Brandon, yeah Mindy is her name. Super nice lady. I’ve gotten fills from her before. She fills tanks for somebody else (forgot who) that bought an adapter and left it out there with her. The stem on that adapter for some reason is too short for my two bottles though.
I bought my own adapter, so if you get over here and hers won’t work on your bottle, holler at me a day or so in advance and I can leave mine out there with her to fill for you.

I measure the male fitting on my SCBA valve as 3/4″ long and about 13/16″ across the threads.

You know, that just might work. Brandon, using your calculations, I come up with 1.19 for the light.
Dad, I certainly appreciate that offer. I’ve got a buddy that has a gun repair shop here in town. I know he’s got a pile of crap laying around and am going to pay him a visit tomorrow. If I can’t come up with one, I’ll certainly holler at you.
Lets see, 1 inch = approximately 25.4mm.. that is a least an idea. i could dig around and see if I have a 30mm ring and if I do I could send you one for sure.. I had a lot of help getting my flashlight rig set up right and I wouldn’t mind helping out..
Trigger, if you dont have a micrometer try to get a measurment around the body of the light. Divide that figure by 3.14. …30mm is about 1.18 inches.

Dad- Don’t know that I’ve ever seen a 30mm ring to know how much bigger they are. Everything I’ve go sits in 1″ rings….. ? ? ?
Couldn’t you just use a 30mm ring and shim it.. That is what I did with an old laser I use to use with 1” rings…
