first time with HPA
ok finally got the hpa up and running and shot the gun it is very quiet i shot it in the house the kids were in bed as was the wife didnt wake em up and man it packs a wallop …. all was going great shooting Predator bigboys and eunjins until i stuck in a Crossman Primier 14 grainer
i shoot down the hall past the bed room where my wife is he target is in the next room down wrapped in blankets to not wake her i pull the nice 1.5 lb trigger and CRACK she flys outta bed wonderin what the hell it was lol
Jim warned me the lighter ones will Crack this was on PW 5 i didnt dare turn it up to 12 with the heavy ones i am thinking it will crack because where it is set kodiaks go 1049 lol cant wait to get my chrony and run my own numbers the numbers i have are from jims chrony

I just turned down the th to .060 and dry fired it a few times and it did not do that, but the real test will be tomarrow if the problem is solved or not.

I don’t have this problem with the .20 caliber barrel, in the same gun, I was thinking it maybe to much pw cause I put spacers in there and the pw does not turn all the way down.
Man frustrating….Did you try increasing the PW? Just might not be hitting hard enough to be consistant
Well thats good to hear, and I’ll be waiting to hear how your new tank operates, I did some shootin on co2, and for some reason my co2 does not like my ss .177, for some reason the valve was staying open too long, and then it would shoot o.k. then not.
I may as well keep them there…Pumping makes me need to go to the bathroom anyway…..
I got the Chrony to give me numbers consistantly today so I finally found where the psi and PW needs to be to keep the shots from scattering….2,200psi and PW7…..Keeps the Kodiaks below 1,080fps and I quit at about 1,800..things start to go bad after that….I am on the same page now maw….Just takes me a little longer than your average bear……
Think about if you had 4 tanks you can just pump, everytime you go to the bathroom thats where I keep my pump, I did get a sh– load of co2 today cause the weather is nice, so its break time. Mamcrackin you mentioned detuning, try this pw on 0 and just pumping to 2000 or slightly less and shooting down to 1400 for awhile.
Oh yea…Even freezing you shot tighter groups than I did…Maybe I’ll have a better day tomorrow….I just can’t seem to keep the rifle steady….I sorta have to pull the trigger as the crosshairs jiggle past the bullseye.lol….Nice group
i am saving up for a chrony , targets i posted my shots in the contest link today vemin i will shoot something soon squirrel ends very soon like end of month but crows and starlings and such are around ill get around to killin them
Now take into account, that’s not full gun bottle fills from empty. I shoot down to about 2100psi and top back off to 2900psi. A scuba shop in town fills for $5 bucks but I’ve got access to a FD fill station which does not charge me.
i has a modded hiflo valve custom weight hammer it has the oring mods and trigger mod and also vented bushings and frame and a 24 inch barrel do these numbers seem off? ill run it my self when i get a chrony
So when are we gonna see some numbers, targets, vermin, varmints?
24 time fills in one tank? how much does it cost to fill the tank up?
I am really going to have to rely on the advice and direction of the TAG Team on this one….my mechanic skills have never crossed the path of big air//////////…..
