Given the extreme angles…
… we find ourselves shooting now and again, has anyone tried a product like
“Angle Cosine Indicator” by Sniper Tools Design? If so, your thoughts on the
same? ❓

I use “The Force”. What that means is I calculate the distance, angle, windage and drop in my head. Then I pull the trigger.
I don’t use scope levels as I know where up is.
I don’t use high power on my scopes unless the distance is huge.
I only pull the trigger when I know I can make a clean kill. That appies from to mouse to a bull elk.
To know your weapon is absolutely necessary. To know what it will do at your shoulder is gold. To know the ballistics of your weapon makes you more accurate. But when you put it all together, priceless. AKULA
my wife… 😀 🙄
You’ll be much happier around the house if you will change from Anal retentive to Anal Attentive!!! 😯 😀 😳 8) 🙄 Or all of the above.

Well, until then, why not do what the rest of us do? Ask Wok’s wife…….

If I’m shooting at a squirrel in a tree, I’ll measure the distance to the base of the tree…. that works.
I have a Pocket PC with Chairgun Mobile – But it isnt needed in these situations.
The fancy Ballistic caluclators in some rangefinder’s… all that does is use the angle and the line of sight distance to calculate the horizontal distance… same as just measuring to the base of the tree in my example above.
BTW, I have iSnipe, the cover image is a Condor!!!!!!
If I had a wife I would ask her if I could have one but, she didn’t get me an iphone….
I love gadgets. I would get one if the price was lower. Just ask my wife.
Here’s the calculator, bw”
Oh, there’s absolutely no doubt that I’m an anal retentive bastard. Just ask
my wife… 😀 🙄
Dude, you just posted pics of your hole-in-hole shots on Osama’s nose from a decent distance… now you want to bring Trigonometry into it? 😯
Too twisty for my brain. 😆
Have name for it?! That’d be a cool app to have.
I used to put together calculation tables for my high powered rifles.
Then came applications that produced the tables for me and I simply included
those in my kit (for the rounds I carried).
But now I’m thinking… ‘If I can attach this little gizmo, simply multiply by
actual distance to get horizontal linear, and then click out to that distance…
That seems REALLY easy and – if accurate – very expedient.’
And, no, I don’t work for that company. I’m merely and interested consumer. 😉
There is an iPhone app that lets you use the phone as a ballistic calculator as well as an inclinometer… 😕

I calculate angles using the S.W.A.G. method!
