if a unshrouded condor was a 5 out of 10 on the loudness scale, what would the 909 be?
is the single tube better or worse than the double tube reservoir?
my biggest concern is loudness so would neighbors get pissed off if you shoot the 909 out in the backyard?
what are the best pellets to use ( most accurate, best for hunting)) ?

Well i feel stupid lol i thought they were the same.
Condors don’t typically use silencers. They use shrouds. Big difference.
I would definitly look into it alot before i broke any laws here. Why is it legal for condors to have silencers but not bigbore 909s?
Just a friendly suggestion here.
If you are wanting a can for your 909, there are plenty of sources here in the states.
Be aware, that there is a guy sitting in prison that had a 909 shipped with a can, which was discovered by the mail people (whoever they are). I think that it was even being shipped within the US borders.
If you get a silencer from outside the country, it will go thru customs, and there is a lot more probability of getting yourself into big (federal) trouble.
Under the letter of the law, a silencer IS A FIREARM.
You might also look into seeing if your state is a free one, and allows you to buy the tax stamp for possession of a silencer. They usually run about $200 (for the tax stamp).
The cans are a gray area legally, leaning towards the negative side of it (whether that is the black end or the white end I haven’t a clue lol). Whether or not they bust you, is pretty much up to whatever authority you deal with.
It would just suck to have negative attention drawn to these bigbores by getting into trouble with a silencer for it.
The guy did have a history of gun related felonies… Interstate transport and possessing an automatic without a permit. Still be aware and cautious, no need to get in trouble by trying to stay out of trouble. 😉

if your in the us then you need to get a BATFE Tax Stamp for one, there is an application and approval proses you will need to go through, part of that process is you will need the serial number of the silencer you are going to purchase.

i see nice pic. umm… how would i get one? I MEAN LIKE HOW MUCH MONEY WAS IT AND HOW COULD I POSSIBLY ORDER THE SILENCER. WOULD I NEED TO SEND MY GUN TO FINLAND OR SOMETHING?

I got very well working silencer for my 909s. A gunsmith in Finland made two pieces of those. Basicly it has been designed for .457 firearm.

It’s 2″ thick, and about 9,5″ long. I was told that the most difficult part was to make perfect fitting adapter into 909 barrel.
My stock 909s is very quiet now.
I don’t think a 909 can be shrouded, due to the band around the front of the barrel/air reservoir. I’m not sure there is enough room for a shroud even if you were to find a way around it.
If you live in a gun-friendly state, you can pay the $200 tax stamp, and put a can on it to quiet it down. It will be a big-ass can, though.
Get a shrouded .25……IMO best all-around airgun caliber there is. With the SureFire slugs especially, it will kill most critters with authority.

The 909 is not a “backyard” gun! A bit louder than the .25 Condor I had.
How close are your neighbors? Realize that a ricochet from a 909 can easily go thru several fences and still kill someone down the block VERY easily.
Shooting it in a typical residential neighborhood will cause an accident in no time.
To demonstrate, here is what it will do to three very saturated phone books. This 909 is tuned, but it wasn’t shooting at full power at the time with this particular slug, at that psi fill level.
I was definitely mistaken when saying it was 15 inches of phonebook, but you get the idea. Ignore the low-shot (LOL!).
Not backyard friendly.
