Q:

Buyer Beware!!

I am new to this Forum, but have been on other air gun Forums for a few
months. Just got my Talon SS, but am getting screwed around by the seller
Joe from Longislandairguns.

Please check my posts here….

For the full story. Just thought I would share to give people a heads up.
Has a good reputation over there, but you never can tell.

If this is in the wrong place please move.
Thanks…… matthew

I can see a point from both sides. IMO the seller should have been clear on the return policy to prevent these types of events. Good luck to both parties.

Thanks for the info guys.

I was thinking about posting over there, but have not gotten around to it yet.

Another point… He also sent a receipt from Longislandairguns with no price for the gun and the other stuff, including the shroud listed as a donation.

Heck, I though every body knew Tony’s was the quietest out there!

At any rate. Like your Avatar. Nothing like a good ol fashion Texas Rope Dance! 😀

Well, 2 other members over there told me they posted complaints against this guy only to have them removed.

Guess what happened next???? Removed my post.

I was told there is a good old boys network there.

If I would have seen prior the prior misdeeds of Longislandairguns
or Joe Lamonica I would have gone elsewhere.

Too bad for the next sucker over there!!

There are a few cool as shit people that post over there, but then again there is a bunch of dweebs that get ran off every were else as well, post it up on the yellow boi as well as here.
I had a complaint about Long island air guns and what they were charging for shipping and handling a ways back and there was a few fools that came to their defense, I just laughed at the lot of them, they will learn on their own 😆

You can post on the Yellow Fourm BOI.

That is the one that is the most important anyway.

I just had to go to the Administrator and he put it back up, but froze it.

A friend of the sellers who is a Moderator is the one that removed it.

Now I see they removed part of my post….Here we go again..

I see your post? It looks like they froze it… I like GTA, why did they do that?

I remember dong saying he was in with long island guns.
It would probably be a good idea to steer clear of that place.
Anyone that is partnering with dong is, IMO, bad news.

Its probably dong brother that runs that place!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀

It was used, $95.00…I think it was a Don G shroud. Had baffles that extended into the Talon shroud and the shroud itself came out about 3″.

I still have the e-mail where he said there was no difference between the
two.

When I told him I was sending it back I ordered a TT shroud… 6 incher instead of the full 8″.

The other one was pretty good quieting the report, but I just got Tony’s
and it is quieter. Probably due more efficient baffling and more length.

that there sounds to be some bull shit, if he claimed it to be as good as a Tony job (which we all know he is the master) then It shouldn’t matter how long it took you for it is not what he claimed it was and he should feel guilty as hell for claiming his are as good as Tony’s are!

did he build it or was it just something he had possibly used and what did you pay for it?

I’d say you should be fortunate he agreed to let you test it at all.

True as well. Very few people will agree to that. I’d have a hard time letting someone buy something to check it out and return it.

I agree that is why I made sure before the purchase. I told him I was leaning towards the TT shroud. He said they were the same in noise reduction, but they were not. The length of time on the return was because
I got busy and put it off not thinking I had to rush. Under 2 weeks I thought was ok. So a miscommunication on the time for the return. So I was polite
and conciliatory while he has been rude and deceptive. That is not called for.

I think that a miscommunication is evident here. A time to return the shroud should have been agreed on BEFORE it was sent to you. Would have avoided most all of the apparent problems here.
