I had an idea for a "Spartan Wokbutt"
I thought about putting together a shoulder piece with no bells and whistles.
It only has 1 threaded hole and 2 tank mounting holes to adjust for height. No sling stud, and no holes to keep weight down.
It weighs 3.8 oz compared to the 3 oz of the Wokbutt.
It’s given a powder coat finish but it is applied when fully assembled which cuts down on time.
I call it the “Spartan” Wokbutt because it is simple and tough.

sling adapter kits???
Just a tr-rail and 2 sling adapter kits I just do not want to flex the collar area anymore then I have too. I carry my Condor slung across my chest like an assault gun way faster to shoulder and less movement to spook game.

What is needed to do that mod, I like it:)
Stop being a pussy. Besides I gave you a Wokubutt for nothing so stop whining 😛
That my friend, IS FUNNY!!!
And it has helped.
I haven’t killed anything since….. that possum last night. 😛
And I will again say thank you to both of you. 😀
i gave him a camera because i thought he maybecome
homocidal so i figured he could take pics of the woods and flowers and reflect on life some
How does one get in line for a free wokbutt?
After I filled my SS with copper couplings and fender washers its a tad bit heavy on the business end, this might bring it back to level again.. 😉
Mr. Lama got one for a graduation present. He gets a few things now and again from forum members because he is special and it calms him down 😯
Of all the million pics of modded AFs that have been posted, I really can’t recall one that has a sling on it.
Sling studs aren’t cheap unless you buy a million of them…. Eliminating that feature will cut your manufacture cost dramatically.
That is true and I may just have to stop including the sling stud in future runs. Brownells 2x the cost recently for them…the bastards.
Then buy ’em from Midway, less than a buck each:

I bought out Brownells stock and then they raised the price 😀
I then bought out the stock of them at Midway as well. Hopefully they have them back in stock. 😉

I think it looks great.I like the simplicity of it.
I like it but I think I’d miss some of the current adjustibility. I find myself moving holes from time to time.
On a different note – I think you might be able to sell a few to folks shooting the 22xx variants with the crosman stock. Get a curve on the mounting piece to match the curce of the stock butt, shape it to the stock and provide instuctions for some serious 3m tape and drilling a single hole through the stock for mounting…. I will be your first customer and/or your marketing dept!!
Ahhh Randy, the ole sling stud to tri-rail mod 8) 8) 8)
Nice job 8) 8)

I like this simpler design but did not attach my sling to the tank because of refilling and using different tanks plus I think it is a bad idea to stress the collar where the tank screws in.
