Q:

The ultimate shot!!!

Hey yall

I was just outside with my talon SS and made what I consider the ultimate shot. 2 birds one shot!!!! I was sitting there watching 4 house sparrows about 20 yrd out and thinking if two line up I wonder if I can get them both. bout then 2 lined up, I squeezed off a round and feathers flew. When I walked up there were two dead birds 8) 8) 8) I would have taken pics but if you dont believe it in writing you wouldnt believe a pic either, so you just gotta take my word for it.

happy shooting

The problem was the motor oil, you should have been using some 80-90.

Much easier to hold onto. Better for thermal breakdown as well.

Now that is what I am talking about.

So the first gal asked if I had ever seen a battery operated Clarinette, I replied no I had not, then she pushed a little switch with her thumb and the slender black and chrome instrument started this low vibrating hum, damdest thing I ever saw.

It was hard to hold onto it with all that motor oil on my hand and a Corona in my other…..

About then the second clainette player asked me, “You don’t shoot buzzards do you?”

in highschool, i once ricocheted a spitball off of my astronomy teacher and hit the dizzy bitch sitting up front. BOOYAH! 😎

BDurhan,

Well if you read that again, you will see it was sparrows.

But that was nothing, one time in Band Camp…

There were these two chicks who played the Clarinette, so I invited them over to my room one night…….

Did you know Crows sister played the clarinette?

I’ve never ground shot a quail in my life. Buzzards are protected by Federal law. If I shot one I wouldn’t tell anyone or a Hawk either.

I have gotten a dozen birds or more with one shot on many occcaisions.

Its known as ground sluicing.

I used to feed quail on a place I owned outside of town, I usually had three or four coveys come in, but I also got english sparrows by the hundreds.

My feeding area was outside of a slider window in the laundry room at about 20 yards. I had this wonderful little 20 gauge pump Mdl 17 that had been inn the family since the 20’s.

It would give a pattern of about 10 to 12 inches wide and 6 or 7 feet long at that range and angle, so I would pour the black sunflower seeds out in the exact form of the pattern.

I would do this several times per day, it got to the point after the second year of feeding the quail that I was shooting around 300 sparrows per week, so I just quit feeding the quail and gave up.

How the heck do you line up on 200+ frogs at the same time?

…. with good and hard training πŸ˜‰ probably it can be possible

If they are stupid they are dead, the feds are out in full force, maybe I’ll snipe them too if they are stupid enough.

hawks are federlly protected also but around here they have decimated the rabbit population
15 yrs ago i saw a hawk maybe once or twice a year
now i see multiple hawks each day
befor i could bag my limit on rabbits in an hr
now im lucky to get 2 maybe 3 all day
put 2 and 2 together
“federally protected” is just a bullshit term and in some peoples eyes
means shit

it may very well be a BS term in some peoples eyes…but it may also be law…if it is…better safe than sorry isn’t it?

there’s some pretty stiff penalties for federal violations when it comes to wildlife.

“you pays yer money, you takes yer chances”…it’s up to you…
