JDS Airman Valve????
This is the business end of an AF C02 adapter.

This is a side view, is that not a burst disk I see?

And, here is the other side. Is that hole used to take that valve out?

Sooooo….why can’t that valve come out, be screwed into a Talon air tank, and be used as a high flow valve? Isn’t the valve’s purpose, to provide a high flow interface to the Talon from the JDS Airman regulated tanks???? Has anyone ever done this?
DUH! A little help for the ignorant? 😯

Hoot,
You are one hairy knuckle bastard aren’t you?
Shit, I guess ole mom was right about that. 😛
Fuck you Hoot.
I told you that information in the strictest confidence. 👿
Sure, I lost half my manhood reducing me to a mere 9 inches(Betty measures in ‘old money’ and quoted 2.5 pig trotters which equates to 9 inch thankyou very much),yeah, my left eye has a habit of tickling my chin every now and then, but so what?
I don’t trip over much anymore since I had both my thumbs transplanted to my foot to replace the toes( though I now have difficulty in getting a decent grip on my rifle)
And as for strapping a BLACK man to the muzzle…who said the ‘bro’ has to be black. Anyone you know can do this for you, but because of the inherent dangers involved with having the end of your nose right by the muzzle, a ‘bro’ (good friend etc) is best advised.
Now clearly you have a problem Hoot. I’m guessing it all stems from me refusing to fly over there and empty out and service your portable water closet last week. I’ve told you old man, just cos I can be seen hanging around the public toilets in London DOES NOT mean I’m an expert in old Victorian shitters.
Your respectful friend,
Pab.
Pab,
A “combro chrony”?????
You want me to strap a black man onto the muzzle of my Talon? That’s ridiculous! A person’s skin color doesn’t enable them to judge pellet velocity any better than anyone else. Besides, the weight would be prohibitive!
My sincere apologies to our African-American friends, and all people of color who visit our esteem forum. You must forgive Pab, as he was run over by a double-decker bus when he was but a lad, and sustained severe brain damage, the loss of two toes and over half his “manhood”. To this day, one of his eyes still dangles from the socket! A poor, ignorant, deformed outcast who lives on a sheep farm in rural Essex. He doesn’t know any women, has never “known” a woman, and other than the occasional night visit to the barn, he doesn’t get out much.
All this information from a local brothel owner, Betty “Queenie” Potter, who lives up the road from Pab. She said all his friends once got together to purchase him a “visit” to her facility, but the two of them could only gather one pound, six-pence, and that wouldn’t even get him in the door! She said even with a discount for a 2.5 inch “service” (she charges by the inch) she has to have at least $3.00 U.S. to break even, because she rounds up to the next full inch. If only three of us could contribute, we could make Pab a real man for ten minutes!
Food for thought.
With a heart full of nothing but brotherly love, kindness, and consideration….I remain:
Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot 😯
Hoot, get the combro chrony. It straps to the muzzle, is VERY GOOD !!
Only costs about 40-50 bucks. Ask the guys here that have one. I have used one for a couple of years and there are pukka. Good aftersales service too. Try searching in here for a review. You won’t be disapointed if you get one 😉
Oh well, its done. Now, it sits on my shelf awaiting my next effort to improve upon perfection. Marmot_Militia is drilling out a 53 cu in aluminum tank I got from JDS Airman, so his left handed E-TAC will screw into the bottle, and the Condor valve will go into the end of his E TAC. (I’m trading him 150 lbs of fresh catfish for the E TAC!)
Then….I will have twice the air capacity of the standard Talon bottle, a pressure gauge, a fill probe, and an angle on the bottle. By then my Spartan WOK BUTT should have arrived and I will figure out a way to attach it to the aluminum bottle.
Pics to follow when it all falls into place. Gimme a couple weeks.
really? man of your word I see……..
The top hat screws came out without a whimper, I adjusted them to .085 and gently snugged them tight.
They had what appears to be teflon tape on them, or at least some kind of white substance. I can’t find a roll of teflon tap 1/64th inch wide, so I just screwed them back in and they seemed quite snug, and I’ll be removing them again anyway.
How do you know when they are tight enough? That hex wrench is so small it twists with a hard look. Should a holding compound be used? I’ve got the blue stuff. Seems with the beating the top hat takes it would require more than those two little screws to hold it in place. Unless….are they recessed? Do they screw into a hole on the sticker-outer thing the top hat fits over? I never took it off to look. Too scared I’d mess it up, or something would go “thwanggggg” and I’d see something very small, fly by my eyes. That’s happened more than once in my life.

Well, I finally got the dang thing out.
It took some doing but it finally came loose. Mamcrackin warned me to check the spring retention nut, and sure enough it was so loose it was wobbly.
I took it all the way out, cleaned up the inside and wound the threads with 15 to 20 spans of teflon tape, as directed. When I screwed it back in, very carefully I might add, I looked down the inside of the hollow nut, and something was not quite right. So I unscrewed it and the leading thread had broken off and was hanging by a thin sliver of metal.
I broke it off and filed the end smooth. It was just one thread deep, so I didn’t figure it would cause a problem that couldn’t be corrected with a top hat adjustment.
Those spring retention nuts are very thin and Mamcrackin told me this had happened to him a couple of times.
Now I have to use my thinnest hex wrench and loosen the two screws that hold the top hat on and adjust it. I hope there is no trick in getting them loose. I’m going with a top hat setting of .085 to start with.
When I can afford a chrony I will get down to fine tuning it…but that’s another welfare check or two away. Damn Democrats…did you know you can’t buy a chrony on-line with food stamps???
Pab, you’ve been an inspiration throughout this, can you mail me yours, and I’ll drop it off next time I’m in your neighborhood! Yep! I surely would. Wrap it in a couple colostomy bags would you??? I don’t want it to break.
Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot 😯
pab you said it better and typed it faster 😀
good luck hoot let us know how it works out.
steve
Well, Pab, my left nut is glass too, but I don’t get any complaints!
Lost both eye and ball (snicker!) in the same brothel fight back in ’65! It was the piano player who started it, an Asian man by the name of Elvis Drang. He played the piano with a Spider monkey on his shoulder, who went by the name of “Jack the Ripper”.
While I was pounding Drang’s face in with my boot, that fuckin’ monkey pulled a straight razor and and….well, things got plumb ugly.
It just goes to show you the wisdom in old sayings! Yessir! It surely does.
“Never smash in a 97 pound Asian man’s face with a boot, when there’s a Spider monkey watching!” My drunken father first told me that, when I was but a lad…but I failed to listen. If any of you are still parents, I suggest you have your kids repeat this right after their night prayers.
Boys and girls, here’s a lesson from ‘Ol Uncle Hoot….listen to what a drunk says, always…they’ve had hard lives, and know strange things. And never turn your back on a Spider monkey. 😯
Pulaskius put a 71 gram hammer in mine. Let’s see…subtract that from this thing, carry the “1”, and and…..that means I have three grams left-over!
I have a wealth of grams! Cripe! I’m so excited, if I lose any more body fluids today, I’m gonna get dehydrated and have to be hospitalized!!!! 😯
Good to see you getting excited over it all hoot (as we all do!)
Have fun dude and try not to shoot yer eye out..(I know the left one is glass but you could still break it..)
😆 😆 😆 This is some funny shit!!! 😯
So, if the C02 adapter is fairly new, mine is this summer’s model, then I have, in my possession, a current Condor high flo valve (which I have been assured by AF to be of the highest possible quality!!!)…waiting to be used with the new heavy brass hammer Pulaski put in my rifle……which has the 18″ .22 caliber LW barrel….DEATH…THY NAME IS HOOT!!!!!
MUUWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 (be afraid….be very afraid!)
Hoot, you best make yer way to the posty and reduce the misery you must control!!!! 🙂
Walter….
mind sellin me the 3 extra grams????
😈 😆
On a more academic note: The nice lady at AF told me I had to have a “Heavy Striker” for this valve to work. I asked what it weighed and she said 19 grams. I asked her how heavy the standard striker was that this goes behind, and she said 49 grams, a total of 68 grams is therefore needed to properly open the Condor valve.

Hoot use the medium lock-tite and .070 as a starting point. Depending on what pellet weight you shoot. Be VERY gentle tightening the screws as it doesn’t take much to damage the valve wall.
