Q:

Help please

With my trigger pins.
I’ve installed the new trigger parts in my new frame, and have found it very difficult to drive the pins in fully. I’ve used big grips which has almost done the job, but they are still sticking out a bit…

Also, I want to service my trigger parts in my old frame. Whats the best way to remove the old pins? And do I need to use fresh pins on re-install??

Thanks guys 😀

Thanks for all the suggestions guys 😎 😎

I’m liking freezing the pin for a while….

didnt realize i was shouting, its the way i had to write for 26 yrs.now i know the new educate……

Jerry, Hoots pecker’s too soft. Pab set the pins on some dry ice, then try it.

Well we sure as hell Ain’t LEFT 😈 😉

Leadboy

Ya don’t have to yell!!!!

Ah, all cap’s, man, I remember when I used to shout!!!!!!!

Pab, I think a finish na would be just right

I think about a 4 or 2d nail, go ahead and convert that over to USA or UK

HA, you know what I,m thinking

I have not yet tore the trig yet

Later-

SAW

A LITTLE HELP TO FORCE THE PIN, WOULD BE TO USE A BENCH BLOCK(POLYETHYLENE), TO SET THE RECEIVER AGINST,THEN USE A GOOD QUALITY PUNCH JUST A TAD SMALLER THE THE PIN AND DRIVE ,TAPPING AGINST THE NONE SPLINED PORTION OF THE PIN.
WHEN REPLACING THE PIN,AND IF IT IS A TIGHT FIT ,PUT THE PIN IN THE FREEZER FOR AN HOUR AND THEN TRY .SHOULD GO IN.DRIVE FROM SPLINED END IN REVERSED DIRECTION.

USING A BIG HAMMER IS QUESTIONABLE.

Pab,
Don is “dvu0704” and he’s on a power quest as well I believe. He’s stated a goal of supersonic with the 6 rings so I figured I’d stir things up! Nothing like driving developement with high goals… 😛

Mike,
If I was right, I’d just be lurking here! You can’t be right either… BTW, it’s about time you try those big slugs at 100 yards eh? I’ve decided that you’ve spent enough time dialing in the little stuff! 😆 😆

Ain’t none of you Guy’s Right!
😆 😆 😆

Mike

Whos Don? Whats his set up? How dare he..!

Actually, I heard Hoot’s pecker is just the right size to drive those pins… I doubt Pab wants it that close to his head though! 😆

Pab, are you going to get into a competition with Don to see who can get a Surefire slug supersonic first? :12 :8

Well in that case i think you are gonna scratch the frame all up,need to find something softer like the concrete on the front porch , or hoots dolly.
😯 🙄

quote powderburner:

HEy Pab make sur and back the frame up with a nice solid peice of wood or something. Sure it would help.

Cheers pd, gonna hold it against my head. That should be solid enough 😆

quote brutus:

looks like samjack might be after your old frame 😎

samjack if you are you have nothing to worry about from me i just brought a 12L dive bottle so dont have the £’s to splash about at the moment

Samjack was kindly offering to send me a dvd on how to strip down my rifle. 😛

I’m not selling the old frame, just setting up a new one to hump Surefire slugs at indecent fps 😈

Brutus, I managed to get a new frame from Walt who ordered it for me from the states. The money they wanted from Gunpower was a piss take 🙄
And it is also purple 😆
