Q:

Crazy idea?

Could a person cut off the top rail in such a way so as not to destroy their gun? I was thinking if a person had the ability to unscrew the top half, they could make clearance for Jims E-Tac with gauges and foster fitting. Couldn’t you thread the base of the handle? Or another way would be to “re-angle” the back edge more vertical to make more room. What do you think?

Who can photo-shop a pic for me?

Y.N. or anyone else, I took a good look at my frame and I can’t see a reason why I couldn’t do one of two things. 1. Change the angle on the underside of the top rail, making it more vertical to make room for a short E-Tac. 2. If the first option doesn’t get it, cut it straight vertical at a right angle to the collar. Like I said, it appears to me this could be done, there’s excess meat back there that could be removed without compromising the strength of the area where the tank screws into the collar. If someone is reading this who knows how to post modded pictures would you please throw up an idea of what I’m saying so I’ll know if I’m making any sense at all? My main concern (Which may turn out to be unfounded) Is the LOP getting to long for me.

The Metallica Death Magnetic CD just happened to be laying nearby when I took the pictures.

I needed something to hold the rifle level.

I’d bet that the coffin is magnetic to attract song bird killing Crows or Tree Rats.

I wondered the same thing.. You’d have to ask riffraff 😀

Yellow Ninja..
I understand (and marvel) at the side fill nipple and pressure gauge on such a compact adaptor..
but what’s with the magnetic field around the coffin shape?

I think it looks pretty F**king Kool!

I LIke it!!!

What about modding something like the etac adapter to take an secondary input?

IT would be cool as hell and give more room for a regulator in the works

Also anybody ever run a regulator on there fill tank and run a hose to the e tac adapter, i have found a 6000 in and 0 to 5000 out reg for 250 bucks

quote powderburner:

I am surprised no one has mounted the air force tank under the front of the frame and built a bull pup stock for the gun . and hooked the tank to the valve with a hose or something.

I thought about it…

I accidentally edited out the part about this being the frame YN milled the top rail off of in his picture.

I have had no problem at all with it, but it did look pretty weak before I bonded and bolted the picatinny rail on top of it.

[quote=”RiffRaff”]–edit– this is how I used that chopped frame. The shorter version with the red-dot on it is awesome. Just swap optics in your head, I dont have a pic.

Man that’s sweet!!!

Thanks Y.N.
