thanks all i im glad to get some clarification on this stuff i love shooting and since im not working cause of these back surgeries all i get to do is shoot and hunt
Here’s a little show to give an extreme example of what we’re talking about:
This first link will show a video of a dozen 14.3gr pellets fired through a ballistic gel block from 43 yards. The pellets are leaving the Monsoon’s muzzle at over 900 FPS.
This video shows a .62 MUCH heavier slug going FAR slower…

I’ve got videos of .32s hitting this gel as well. The .22 makes a tiny little “pip” as it enters and the .32 makes a hole you could stick your fist into. The .22 is starting 900+ and the .32 is starting slower but maybe hitting just as fast because of better BC.
There’s only two ways to get more power, speed and weight. For airguns, the physics leave us one way, weight.
Lol. Mike, Tell him. Why do we all love the good ol 230 Gr. .45 ACP so much. Hey do you think there’s going to be some nice 2011 colts ?
im 28
i know im new thats why im asking these questions
RJ- Last chance. Put up those honest no bull shit groups you’ve been talking about. How old are you?
True Knock down from a projectile comes from hydrostatic shock. This occurs at above 2200 fps. Therefore, we have to go with penetration and subsequent tissue damage. That translates to larger-heavier projectiles.
This is a very old discussion. Not our fault your just getting started and don’t get it yet. Like I said, the typical gamo rookie questions we have all heard and answered thousand times. And every damed time,it is the same old thing. The rookie knows more than any body else. At least until he gets a little practical experience. Then he is in the same boat as all the rest of us. Explaining it to another rookie that knows it all.
Here we go again. Thousandth verse, same as the first.\
Some body go and find Gamo and Kick their Fucking Ass for spreading all this shit! 👿
thats why i want to push it faster
and yes i am looking for improvement thats why i ask so many questions bout things going by a muzzle cal. if i can push a 28 grn or 32 grn faster ill get more knockdown
Yes
Example: 15.9g at 875fps=27 ft lbs
25.4g at 770fps=33.4 ft lbs
25.4g at 875fps=43.2ft lbs
So if you shoot the heavy pellets at the same speed or even slower you get an increase of energy.
is it true that if i shoot 28 grn or 32 grn pellets faster u get more foot pounds or not
Sounds like you have it all figured out RJ.
Of course, you’re not getting 1250 with 18gr JSBs and if the hogs are just getting too close for you to trust your gun, maybe you should carry a baseball bat as back-up?
I’ve lost track of what it was you want here. Did you just want to brag on your gun or are you really trying to improve it? We’ve told you that shooting the light pellets any faster will just hurt accuracy without much gain in terminal performance and we’ve told you what valve to get if you want more power (hopefully to be used with heavier pellets (even though the eun jin .22s won’t be as accurate, they should be accurate enough)). We’ve also told you that if you want more power (knock down power) you need to go to .25 and shoot heavier ammo.
You seem to know it all already or have an argument against everything mentioned. I guess you have the perfect set-up but you still want more but just not like we’re recommending. 🙄
Great, get back to us when you have an idea we haven’t heard a thousand times…
my gun and i are very accurate even at those speeds believe it or not im still trying to get pics to post on this piece of shit computer
when i say close calls i mean the pigs getting too close and if u read back u can see were i have said something bout speed and energy is it true that if u can move a heavy pellet faster u will get more knockdown power oh yeah ive shot at 3 hogs and killed all three with one shot kills dead in there tracks with the 22 cal condor

Man, I hope so!
The only reason I carry a .45 is because they don’t make a .46. 😆
Thanks for th vid’s Jerrr. As they say a picture speaks a thousand words! 😉
