how much do you pay for HPA ???
i am getting an 88 cf carbon fiber 4500 psi tank and i called the local paintball shop and they told me it is a buck per 1000 psi
no matter tank size is this a good deal?
i mean even if it isnt for 5 buck to fill and 88 cf tank if i put the numbers in right i will get something like 30 condor fills with the tank

Although the shop may be raising the prices for the $5 and $6 SCUBA fills.

Yup, $5 here at Sport Chalet in Las Vegas. They fill up to 4500psi. I recently talked with the gentleman there about buying a scuba tank. I politely told him what I was going to use it for, and there were no problems. Scuba tank for $150, with fill and inspection. It’ll work until I can afford an SCBA tank!
5 bucks here in So Cal at Sports Chalet which is a sporting goods store with a dive shop inside of it and offers a complete service of any type scuba tanks (steel, cf, or aluminum). They can fill carbon fiber tanks to 4500 psi with no problems.
The good thing is though, i haven’t paid for over a year now as i kiss ass with the young kid that runs the scuba dept….LOL. But you gotta do what you gotta do..lol

I just retired from the fire department a few years ago. I will give you guys some advice on how to get your bottles filled for a few bucks and or possibly free. I am mostly referring to the cities that are paid fire fighters and some of your bigger volunteer companies. First of all, not every firehouse has the capability of filling SCBA bottles. Most cities usually designate one firehouse that takes care of all the SCBA issues such as filling air bottles, and testing them etc. So, thats the first thing to do is find which firehouse that fills SCBA bottles. If you don’t know just go to any firehouse in your city and ask one of the fire fighters which firehouse fills the SCBA bottles.
Go to the fire station which deals with SCBA’s and start bull shitting with them. Have your air rifle in your vehicle. Don’t bring it out just yet. Explain to one of the guys what you are doing and then ask if they could fill the bottle for you. Before he gives you an answer offer him a few bucks. Most guys won’t accept any money because they are not allowed to. If the guy you are dealing with is a prick try another day when he is not working. Most fire fighters are pretty cool so I don’t think you will have a problem. If you didn’t have to pay a few bucs the first time it wouldn’t hurt to bring some doughnuts next time. Once you get to know the guys working there you got it made. After a little time they may lend you one of their SCBA bottles. I have one myself. It is not mine to keep forever. When it gets low I take it down and they will give me a full bottle. Most of the time they have hundreds of bottles that are already full depending on the size of the fire department. Yep, take advice from old Uncle SAW and get out there and chat with your place of fill and find out what connection they have before you buy a tank.
Those adapters are kind o pricey.

$5 per 88cf 4500 PSI fill here. I had to buy a DIN 300 to SCBA adapter so they could fill my tanks though. 😕
