I was in Darby, 60 mi. south of Missoula, in November, and was offered a job that i just can’t refuse, especially with the current housing market here on the coast, which is almost nonexistent. So i’m gonna try out Montana for a while, and see how it goes. The schools are great, the hunting and outdoor pursuits are second to none, it will be a fun adventure at the very least. Ski hill 30 min from town, world class fly fishing, Wilderness areas and National Forest all around, we won’t be bored, anyway. 😀
Where in Montana?
And why? What’s goin on in Montana?
Where in Montana?
I’m in the same boat, only reverse, 😕 I;m moving to Montana in a few weeks, and there is no fill place nearby that i know of. 😥 Looks like i’m gonna have to buy a pump and see what all this hand pump whining is about. 😯 😆 Damn, damn, damn. :3
Peter you’ll spend some coin but you can get a 6K N2 tank and reg. for less than $500.00 praxair or usgas
thanks for the link. unfortunately nothing nearby… ya’ll think $20 is too much? 😆 😆 😆 looks like Imma have to stick with the hill pump until i can save up for a compressor.
so what now? 😕
Industrial welding supply places can sometimes get them filled, if the only option is 3000 PSI fills, then a multiple scuba tank system would be your only hope. I would think that there is someone near you that can fill to 4500, if you ask around enough, maybe even finding someone that has a compressor. The scuba tank option is exspensive, due to buying multiple tanks, and unless you buy a cacade system, filling you gun will be a PITA. Have you checked the list on the Yellow forum that lists fill places around the country? Might be worthwhile if you havent yet. Unless you know someone in a fire dept, that’s gonna be tough, most use a cacade systems with no compressor, and they send bottles out to be refilled, so they dont like giving away air as it costs them, not to mention liability issues. You live in Cali, there must be a place near you that will fill to 4500, keep looking. 😉
can you post a link to that yellow forum page… i cant seem to find it.
yea…found this one guy from a paint ball place that is willing to do something to get it up to 4500 psi but hes gonna charge me $20…
plus he’s like 10 miles from me…imma keep looking…
thanks

You might try talking to Mike at Aquasports. They are on the south side of Shields, just west of Blackstone. He fills my tank to 3200psi. They have bigger, higher pressure tanks also. I saw a stack of 4500psi carbon fiber tanks in there once. He said he fills those too.
damn bad news!!! called around and scuba shops around here only fill up to 3000 psi max. Called the fire departments and they dont have a clue…they just kept transferring me to people to people.
so what now? 😕
Peter if you want the most bang for the buck, get the 106/4350, more fills than any other scuba tank on the market. Unless another has surpassed it.
Yeah, you want at least 80 Cu/Ft. or cubic feet, not inches. lol.
