Well, I finally ordered the NightForce scope
Oh the pain! Lot’s of freaking bucks for a scope and rings etc. Thank God the gun is paid for!
As an aside, I emailed a couple of the online retailers and asked why I should buy from them since the scope cost the exact same amount regardless of where I purchased it. The only reply I got that was from an actual person was from a fellow at Optics Planet. He explained why the price is the same everywhere (NF pressure) but he also offered me upgraded shipping (and came through after the order) and a deal on a fantastic night vision conversion that I will buy from him right after the lottery decides I need money!
The scope and accessories are all back ordered. Apparently NF is doing a decent business despite the economy. I wonder if that is due to military orders or folks getting ready for the revolution? 😆 😆 😆
I saw a sniper show the other night. The Canadian that broke Carlos Hathcock’s record for longest kill used US ammunition and the “identical rifle” appeared to have a NF scope on it. Regardless of the scope, what a shot! And…how fucking stupid do you have to be to have a bullets land near and not run like Hell? Thank goodness we’re fighting morons.

Hi Jerry, Have you actually looked through this particular NF model before ordering it? I have one too (except for the 50mm objective) but it will not focus down to less than 50yd., even on low mag, let alone 10 yd. I got it for my predator PB. I am so surprised to see you getting one for an airgun.
Edited : sorry Jerry, I made this comment before reading your other post saying that you will be shootiing at 100-200 yd. You are gonna love the NF. The only thing that I am not thrill about is the eye piece rotates with the magnification change making use of a Butler Creek cover a nuisance.
