Q:

cp’s vs ultramags in .22

now that pa has ultramags in .22 i was wondering if they really shoot just as good as cp’s. for me cphp suck. i need to get somemore pellets and i really miss cp’s, i just can’t seem to bring to pay $23 for 650, it seems like just a year or two ago they were $14. but the ultramags are $9 for 500 witch is a real good deal. how many of you still buy the box cp’s after the price went up? i use to get them all the time befor the price went up, but i have not since.

Saw lives in Cali’ now.
He’s in the process of going native… 😆

thanks edward ,i can see a difference in the pellets you have for sure, how much of those do you have ,

and have you tried more than the batch you have,

the gamo hunter pellets shoot well in my condor , but i ordered two tins from pyramid and they were under sized also.

i went to cabela’s and measured the gamo pellets that they have, to buy some more, and they measured ok so i bought some and they shoot fine.

Thats when i saw the cabela hunter series pellets . i have bought 4 tins of the cabela’s pellets and they have all been the same .

I would really kike to know if this was a isolated batch of pellets or are they going to be like that , because i would like to buy some from pyramid and get the 4th tin for free.

does anybody else have crosman hollow points and can check out the size, and or put up some pictures.

And here saw , take a pill or something. 😯

Alright I am done

i looked on pa website and the cphp’s do not look like mine but who knows if i just got 4 really shitty tins of them

ok the ones on the left are the cphps notice how the back of the head is rounded you can accually see that the forth from the right has a smaller head, i think the cabellas pellets are the benjamin hp’s and are diffrent from the cphp’s. the pic you show has a sharper angle behind the head.

the ones one the right are cps box and really old.

if someone has some benjamen hps take a pic or let me know what they look like

maybe i am going to take a picture for you

cabels’s hp on left and crosman Premier on right are pretty much identical.

get a few flyers out of the cab hp’s more so than the premier. and the premier seems cleaner. body size and fit pretty much the same.

Yaw are making me worried about the bad results with the crossman hp’s because i was about to make an order thru pyramid for some of the ultra mags and was going to get a bunch of the crossman hp’s .

I have had such good luck with the cabels’s pellets that i use them mostly , and leave the high doller stuff in reserve.

Do you guys think thank that the Cabela’s pellets are different or what.

The CPHP’s shoot poorly in my higher powered shooters, but pretty respectably when I’m on CO2 (except as noted below). Right now, all my .22’s are on CO2 except the EDgun and it will never taste a CPHP 😆

I’m anxious to here some feedback on the tinned .22 CP’s. Might just be enough motivation to put the 24″ .22 barrel in one of the talons (still with CO2). The boxed CP’s were the only thing that shot well from it (it hated the CPHP’s)

I wouldn’t think there would be a bit of difference in cp pellets in the tin vs the box pyramyd air sells them both also CPH in tins so I would say the hell with the box the price difference it crazy!! 😈 And you are right about the speeds of certain pellets, I found that out kind of the same way you did I bought an RX2 in 20cal the guy I bought it from said it loved FTS pellets and it did shoot them well bought some JSB pellets and just didn’t want to group and I never ran anything through the Chrony yet so decided to and fps were really low where it should have been close to 763 fps with the JSB at 13.65gr pellets it was shooting at 585 so for some reason this gun had lost the air charge they have in the chamber with the gas ram so found out how to do that charged it up to where it was supposed to be Chronyed them to get the specs right for fps then when I got it all back to specs I tried the Jsb pellets again and with the extra speed where it should have been it started stakcing pellets as it did with Beeman kodiaks it wasn’t shooting them bad but not as good as I thouhgt it should and they started a one hole group so you are right if the speed isin’t there especially on certain pellets they won’t group near like they should.
