Q:

Hi i’m new. is this what I need to be the quietest?

I just ordered a .22 talon ss pcp package, and I did so because of it’s quieting down abilities.

I plan on shooting at low velocities, 500-600

I need to order a lightweight hammer, but will this zap my power when i want to turn up the gun?

I need to send it out for polishing

I need to do the washer spring mod

do I need a ported shroud, if so can I do this myself with a drill press and stock parts?

Also, will I need a shroud/modifier/whatever you want to call it. You know what i’m talking about. I was looking at GTBJ’s stuff if he’ll make me one. I still need to contact him, but if it’s just a cosmetic part or doesn’t do much, I don’t want it.

I NEED to be SILENT like super crazy special ops quite. Key hole shots from a window, I have a flock of sparrows to assassinate because of my neighbors former contraband bird feeders.

Thanks guys. There’s so much good info here, i’m a bit overwhelmed

Fill your tank to 1600psi and shoot lighter pellets. Plus a home made baffle gets very quiet. The impact is louder than the shot and the shot sounds the same as a coke can being opened.

to bad it’s 175 bucks. Can’t I just dial the fps back on the gun? I keep seeing things about a 0-10 adjustment i know nothing of.

I’m guess i’d lose consistency, and have no decrease in hammer specific noise.

I have a micrometer tank that I have used in the TalonSS configuration. It helps a lot with the noise and also provides about twice as many shots.

They are lower power, but great for target shooting. If you plan on shooting in the 500-600 velocity range, I think you would like the micrometer tank.

just take them out and shoot them and have fun and do like Voltar said do a bit at a time you get to many things going on these guns you loose track of your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😆

I already have a tony shroud inquired about. I told them I’d definitely be buying one in 2 weeks, so maybe it’s already being made! probably not, but can dream.

Should I order their ported barrel bushing or is that going to be part of the parts?

Yeah there is so much but it’s great, because I can do EVERYTHING!!!!!! on just this one. Finally, some common sense. Build it well, easy to cross over, and make it look cool.

Ok, I understand now.

Thanks everybody. I think I have the entire list of what is possible to make this gun quieter than all others.

Well designed shroud
Lightweight hammer (maybe spring too)
co2 adapter
adjustable regulated hpa tank
ported barrel bushing
interal shroud mod

man that’s a lot of money

You don’t need it all NOW. buy as you can afford it…. half the fun is anticipation….

Yeah anticipation is killing me! I got my scope today. My SS will be here monday. 😕

I’m running a TSS with two tanks. One is high pressure hunting for pests and the other is low pressure plinking. That’s all I need. No mods, no hack, just a high quality scope and lots of fun.

so like a remote line paintball gun and an inline regulator?

nope

Airforce CO2 adapter with a CO2 tank or HPA tank screwed into the adapter.

Add a CO2 adapter to your setup and then get an HPA tank with a reg then tune that up for low power. Tune your talon tank for the high power and you got it all covered. 🙂

Walter….
