Got my Chrony today, it seems to malfunfuction
First of all, it does not turn off unless you disconnect the battery.
If you install the battery in it and it is turned off it displays lb and then flashes to one of these symbols [] or UU or AL.If you turn it on with the battery in it it does the same thing, and this has changed as I play with it.
If I turn it on without na battery then install the battery, I get the correct symbolAL with the flashing “cups” upside down and then right side up on each side of AL.
If I then turn it off with the battery in it I get the sybol LB then it flashes to AL with a right side up cup sy;bol on both sides.
Turn it back to on and then it is the lb and AL with cups right side up.
I tried it with the airarcher on a cloudy day here and it worked, but AI did not try to retireve information, just shot over it, and it seemed to work.
I also get err 1 and err2, about the screens not reading when I put the battery in and it is turned off. These displays seem to change.
I put a new battery in it from a blister pack dated 2010 and tested it with my volt meter at 9volts exactly, which does seem low, being as a 12 volt car battery would test 12.8 or 12.9 fully charged. I lived in a battery powered underground house so I have this shit at my disposal.
I tried to call CHrony, but the number is disconnected.
Do you have to disconnect the battery to shut these things down, or will it try to go thru my computer and control the world and Obama, and launch missles and notify Governor Arnold Swarzenigger?

SSShooter, I am so very pleased that your ProChrono Digital model chronograph is working well for you. That’s what it’s all about! You should join me in promoting a good, Made in America product. I think that it is their design that makes them work so well. The sc company seem to think that their fold’em gimmick is so trick, but I think that’s where so many errors are generated. Fortunately, you can’t tell them anything. They know it all and up yours in the deal. Whatever. We know what works and we’ll spread the word ourselves. 😀

I am actually somewhat pleased that I had such a shitty experience with the shooting chrony company. That inspired me to try the ProChrono Digital model which has been a huge step forward. I wish I had known about them before I bought the sc piece of crap from those nasty people. 😉
Ya did good Roach you have a bad Chrony why who knows! I get beat up quite a bit myself on buying things new usaully, all the used things I buy work 😯 Well hopefully it won’t take long just a pain in the ass to say the least! Boy I wish somebody had this snow I have had an ass full this last time around, but I look at some of the others I have got pictures from and don’t feel to bad a couple feet here better than some I have seen up to the roof of there house 😯 Well Roach hang in there it’s a minor one for you LOL!! I just received a ProChono from the Midway link http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=852429 and cannot fault it. So long as you have enough “constant” light indoors it performs flawlessly.
Outside I used the Sky Screens in direct sun without issue at 1 yard, 15 yards, and 30 yards.
I had zero errors with the 40-50 shots I ran with different guns. I couldn’t imagine a better product.
Ive had the Green F1 for almost 10 years.
The only time I ever had any real trouble with it, I found a black spider living in the housing above the 2nd eye. Even so, Ive always thought it was a piece of crap. It seems overly picky about lighting before it starts to work consistently.
I started using canned air to puff out any dust before shooting, then eventually started putting a piece of painters masking tape over the screen eyes when in storage.
Someday Ill probably shoot it, as Ive been using it downrange trying to get BC data.

With their help I was able to decide, buy & sucessfully use.
The pro chrono digital is definately worth its weight in gold.
Told me the plain facts when using my Condor & Talon SS.
Even worked inddors under incandescent lighting.
I am 100% happy with it.
I emailed Chrony, the tech staff emailed back saying it had to be dropped in the store or enroute to me to make it do that.
I made quite sure, in my charming way, that they knew it did not happen in my custody.
I will send it back next week when I get the car up and going.
The car will be fixed on Saturday, my mechanics day off. I got a new radiator and fan for about half what the Audi jews charge for it by shopping around. Turns out my mechanic is an airgunner also.
