Tool for removing Edgun shroud cap
Does anyone know which tool is used to remove the cap from the Matador shroud and where I can find them? Mine is locked so tight that it is impossible to remove without the correct tool. Thanks in advance.

I have a special tool for that.
Be careful if you remove the baffle cap, as the baffles are attached to it in one piece. At the end of the baffles is an O ring, very slender, and very hard to find. It’s easy to replace, but finding one is a bitch.
There’s not much to see around the baffles. The tip of the barrel is threaded and screws into the bottom of the baffles. The shroud then screws into a delrin barrel piece that lines it all up and holds the shroud in line and steady.
I’d just unscrew the shroud and leave the endcap alone. It’s easy to mess up that thin O ring when you slide it past the threads on the end of the shroud.

To be fair, I never actually got an email from Tony saying the gun had shipped. I guess I assumed it had because others were receiving their guns. But, I did email Tony yesterday asking “what’s up?”, and requested a tracking number if he had sent the gun.
Did you have to sign for yours?
UPS just dropped it off at the front porch. I was getting ready to drain my dog, Willie, when I opened the door to let him out, and there it was.
I wonder, because Tony is the only dealer in the US, if he has a lot of orders to send out? Our little forum is not the only place Edgun is known, so he may have a lot of shipping to do.
I’m sure it will arrive soon. I just got lucky. I’ve had better luck with this gun than any of the women in my life, and that’s for damn sure!

Hoot, now I understand. I read your stock pulling post this morning while drinking a cup of coffee and taking a dump. My mind don’t work right when I first get up. After 40 years of 2nd shift, except for appx 10 months of days, I have been moved to day shift. The old body is use to still being up with a beer in hand at 5.30 AM, not having to get up at that time. I hate day shift, it kills all of my late night drinkin and women chasin time.
I’m too damn old to grow up.
Our UPS guy drops the package off the front porch no matter if it’s required signature or not but I don’t think Tony had it required on mine.

Actually, I was just pulling your chain a bit.
I understood exactly what you meant in your first post. However, I had just spend 3 hours out in the heat and humidity (heat index = 100+) laboring over the tools of ignorance…saw, hammer. drill, tape measure, pry bar, and pressure treated 16′ lumber.
I get very strange when I get too hot. Sometimes I get an urge to present myself as the most stupid, ignorant, clueless son of a bitch that ever breathed air. Usually I succeed.

The last two posts are exemplary in their clarity and use of video. Thanks for the info. The way the Edgun slams out the 18 gr pellets leads me to believe my Predators may go supersonic. So I may need to tone it down a bit.
Now, if only those 30mm mounts would arrive.

Hoot, does your family allow you to have sharp and pointy objects? If so, you need to first remove the allen bolt in the front of the trigger guard. That allen bolt holds the stock on. After you get the bolt out, the action can be lifted out of the stock. You will then see the horizontal hammer spring tension adjusting screw. Don’t forget to loosen the small locking screw that holds the tension adjusting screw. Turn the adjusting screw in for more fps, out for less. The lock screw for the tension adjusting screw just needs to be snugged up. Do not over tighten it.
Goat, I pulled on that stock for over an hour, both directions, and kept checking the bottom rear of the gun, but that screw you mentioned never showed up.
You mentioned there is a small lock screw that must be loosened first. Is that my problem? Where is this lock screw? After I loosen it, do I pull on the front or back of the stock?
I’m going to drink some more breakfast, and try again in an hour or so. I’ll be able to stand up by then.

Pull the stock. On the bottom rear of the gun, you will see a large screw that faces foreward. It has a slot in the end of it. This is the adjuster. There is a small lock screw that must be loosened first. Turn in for more fps out for less.

The short Edgun takes a different fill probe than the FX style that comes on the standard Matador???
By the way, my Russian is a bit rusty. Where and how do I adjust the power on my Matador?
