I’m buying a Benjamin Marauder .177
Now my question is what is the best scope for this rifle and the best hand pump?
Yes I use a hand pump………Yes I’m stupid 🙂
I do have a AF Condor (way to loud and to much lead down range for this job) and their pump, could I get an adapter to use it and then maybe buy a shoe box?
Any thoughts from the experts?

Oh and if you look at the bottom right were it says targetz dot com……
That was shot 21 just to show them yes I was hitting were I wanted to. I told them I’d shot the dot out…….
Take a good look I missed the damn thing, Good thing I didn’t put my money on it…. 🙄
PS..
They won’t let me do the food shoots against .22 rim fires anymore. They said it’s for “real” guns. Seems funny the 2 times I was allowed I walked away the winner and now I’m not allowed to play with them anymore.
Thats tight! 😎
4000 POSTS!!
Well I got time today to shot some 50 yard shots from a setting postion using my knee as a support. I zeroed at 10 yds. and this is without any hold over or under.
I kept the gun set up as it came out of the box. Shooting .22 CPH’s I shot a total of 20 rounds in to this target. At this time my friends asked if i was still hitting the target 😉
The 2 shoots circled in black was when I Screwed up and loaded 2 shots at one time.
The circle is 1″ grids are.25″
I’m going to cross my fingers and hope they send it nice and neat and packaged right….
I went with …….. .22 After much debate I figured hell I have a .22 condor why not get a .22 Marauder. My condor loves CPH and from what I have read so does the Marauder. This way I will give a good feed back on both guns.
For now I’m going to keep them both BONE stock and give them a head to head try. I’ll post my opinion of both when I get it set up and shooting right.
I’m going to just get a TT shroud for my “24 barrel…that should keep the neighbors happy! I love my condor but I hate the hold over \ under deal…..Not that I don’t do it just some times I forget and then I end up missing ( nothing pisses me off more then a miss )
Plus what the hell can it hurt to give the Marauder a try….If I don’t like it I’m sure someone will buy it from me.
You’ll like it, also get the 22 Diablo Exact Match pellets. Although the gun likes all the other pellets it really goes to town on the Diablos.
Ok I just got the order in late last night to ……………….PA.

I think he is getting both, Marauder and parts for air force.
Are you staying with .177
, have you found any data on the factory velocity of the Marauder .177 ,
i found a couple of reviews that said very accurate with JSB exact , but no pellet weight. a couple of guys have said crossman 10.5 grain, which is about what i would think it would need to stay just below 1000 fps for peak accuracy
, the marauder is a power house and really is suited best in the bigger calibers. i have always had a .177 and will probably eventually buy a barrel for the condor to play with .177 also.
The frame is still different on the Talon SS, but is equal length to the condor for the most part, so if you put a 12” barrel you have the same thing with the better valve of the condor, unless you change the tank also.
I would buy one of the internal frame moderators for the SS from one of the guys on here , instead of the cap.
DaveShooter,
you said you had a .177 Marauder, what pellet and or velocity did it like or shoot best with and at what velocity.
I shot my TSS and my Condor and My 25 Marauder yesterday. The 25 out shot the other 2 guns.
You only get 2 clips thats 18 full power shots out of the 25 Marauder, but it is more accurate at 46 yards by my range finder, and it is pretty well on the Money.
They all shoot up to specks, these new American Guns has really dominated the Industry, Even my Discoveries are right on the money.
I still Love that Edgun LOLOL , but I’m not that rich and I’m not selling my other guns to buy one LOLOL.
I just about to order My Marauder ..... Whe I do I want to order a 12" barrel in .22 and an end cap...You mean Condor? or Marauder, I don’t think you can get a Marauder with 12″ barrel.
My question is if I order a Talon SS tank do I need to do any thing else to my condor to have a true SS?It’s better to get a Condor, you can tune it down or up however you like, but if you go with Talon, you can’t increase the velocity/power unless you purchase new parts.
Get a shroud from Tony or asking some one in this forum to make you 1. Byside Tony, yel01z06, blodnob, or Walt also can make good shroud for you. I know yel01z06 and blodnob are extremly busy, but give them a PM to see if they can help you out or not.
Ok here’s my update…

If you intend to shoot pests, the 22 is the only way to go. Much more hitting power and more humane than using a .177. Last year I saw around 20% crawl-aways with my .177, after switching to my 22 marauder – zero crawlers plus the ability to take out ground hogs, racoons which can be a challenge with a .177.
I also found that my Marauders did not have the scope to barrel end height difference that the Air Force guns have making the closer range shots much easier to predict.
Still love my Talon SS (.177 and .22) though, just have to learn how to compensate and the Air Force guns a lighter to carry around.
I had all 3 Mrods one in each cal. I sold my 22 cal. I liked the 177 and the 25 best. Get ya some 177 pellets in Crosman 10.5 grain weight they will put the hurt on whatever ya hit. In 25 cal I use 31.2 Baracudas- Thats the feel the love pats for sure….. 😀 😯 😀 😈
So, I started with a .22 TSS and went to other .22 PCP’s…AA S410, BSA Sportsman HV…great rifles. But the I bought the .25 Marauder trying to keep up with Cygnus X and Tofaz4u, and that was it for me! I think about selling my .22’s. I REALLY LIKE MY .25 MARAUDER!!!! 😉
go for a .22!!!!! i use to shoot the .177 but once i shot the .22 for the first time i was amazed at what it could do. i never gone back to the .177 cal other than for plinking.
Might think about 22 for it , some of the .177 marauder guys chime in here, but My 48 rws did not shoot the best over 1000, needed well under this, so you might have to shoot heavy .177’s or deal with having to turn the Marauder down.
And heavy .177 are going to be close to regular 22’s in weight, light 22’s will be cheaper than heavy .177’s for the most part.
Something to think about.
Thanks I thought I had it all figured out ……Right up till I read this…HHMMMMM…
Some one chime in please…….

It is also very simple and cheap to convert the mrod over to .177. Barrel, bolt and magazine is from what I understand all that you need to switch. The barrel is(was) $30 from Crosman.
