The EdGun arrived home at 9:00 a.m. (12hs ago), after passing through customs and paying import duties, (120u $ s), man … my face of happiness does not fit on a 73″screen Mitsubishi TV!.
but anyway I send you this photo that reflects my state.

Naser404, we tried Kodiaks, and Eun Jins at all of the same speed that we
tested the JSB and the JSB was a lot more accurate than any of the others at
every speed but the JSB would not group well at anything above 950ishFPS..

i did order the edgun .25caliber & Hary from dirtyhary.com has it already & after testing it he said that it can shoot the 43gr @ 874.
So let’s assume that it does 43gr@874, and say 35gr@910 and the H&N 31gr @1000, does that mean that we might be able to tweak accuracy with say the 31-35gr pellets by reducing the hammer spring ?
The only reason i got the .25 caliber is to shoot pellets heavier then 28gr, those can be used on .22 rifles.
So the question i would like to know is that can it be as accurate with 31-35gr pellets as it is with the JSB pellets you guys are using??
That way you get a little of both worlds, power & accuracy.

Hi Nasser. You are at the right place for info. Do you have a .25 cal. long version Matador ordered? If you do, when you get it you will probably want to turn the power down some. Ed set them up to shoot heavy pellets at high speeds. Unfortunately, there are no accurate heavy pellets available, at the moment anyhow.
When Jeff and I got our .25s, they were shooting the 25.4 grain JSBs at 1090fps. That is a lot of power but, JSBs dont like to go that fast. I have mine turned down to 950fps and Jeff is in the 930s. Less power, a lot better accuracy!
Turning the hammer spring tension down is easy, adjusting the regulator down takes some time the first time you do it. I have got the R&R on the regulator down to about 20 min. I like to fine tune my gun, maybe a little too much! I have it shooting pretty good and should just leave it alone but, I can’t stop myself! 😆

I swear you guys are awesome, I’m still waiting in vain for my rifles, i ordered them in .25 caliber because I’m really interested in power, hopefully if i get them this week then i might be able to test them.

Each and every barrel has its own preferences Naser’ Its nigh on impossible to say what speed would be best, but its always a good idea to start slow, and up the speed until accuracy drops off, then slow them down a bit and you’ll have your answer!!
We had to detune the Matador to shoot them slower…. From what I hear, JSB
is working on a heavier pellet so, there is hope that we will be able to turn
them up and use them to thier full potential in the near future..

Well, Ed’s .22cals might be more accurate than his .25cals but Oldgoat and
I have tuned our .25cals to be just as accurate and possibly more
accurate than the .22cals…. The .22cal does have a larger selection of
pellets but I only use JSB 18.1gr as I find it shoots the best… My .22cal is
producing 31.5FPE and the .25 is producing 47FPE and if JSB comes out
with a heavier pellet we will turn them up and see if it will do as well as the
25.4gr.

I’ve found the .25 to be just as accurate as the .22 pellets (though I use a BSA barrel in .25 and a LW for .22 )These are mounted in my AF frame. Wouldn’t have thought the Edgun would be any different. Just gotta get the right speeds for the right pellet to get the accuracy.
Jeff and I both have a standard Matador in .22 cal and the long version in .25 cal.

I agree with Jeff. The JSBs grouped a lot better at 100 yards. JSB is supposed to be working on a heavier pellet. If they come out with one, and it is accurate, I will turn my gun back up to shoot them.
My .25 came set to shoot the JSB 25.4 grain pellet at 1042. It shot the 30.7 grain Kodiak at 984 and the 35.8 grain EinJin at 918. The Kodiak and EinJin would work OK out to 50-60 yards on a squirrel or pigeon sized target. After 60 yards, it would be hit or miss.
