Crosman 760 ?
I want to get my wife a pellet gun. We went out to the range in Wallingford CT. She was shooting my Talon, and doing really well. So I was thinking of getting her, her own pellet gun and I think the 760 would be a good start for her.
Now for my Question.
Can you guess what the question is?
Can the Crossman 760 be modded out? Can I get a riffled barrel for it? Can I make it so it can be pumped up more then 10 pumps? Ect. ect.

You might ask him what would charge to do it. I bought the entire gun from him that way so I don’t know the barrel install would cost.

So my new 760 came today. I fired it a few times and I was able to hit the kill zone on my knock down target.
Next I took it all apart, and pushed out the valve. I separated the 2 sections of the valve and drilled out the exhaust port, inlet port and the exhaust chamber. I also added a Hawke 2-7X32 airmax scope
Next time I will Chrony the results.
Could the barrel be rifled?
1377 contrasted to a 760 is apples & oranges as there are tons of spares for the 1377…much more can be done with it.
This one has a PSP moded valve & custom piston feeding a DAQ .25 upper, custom grips, TKO trigger, ect.
Drop a 2289 shoulder stock on it and its a heck of a sweet little takedown carbine.
Why not just get a 1377 and build her a little carbine?
Drop a 14″ barrel on it, upgraded piston & valve and a steel breech

The .25 Marauder is 1/2 the price. Mine sure shoots good.
I would love to get “her” an AA S410 but if she found out how much I spent on it she may just make me send it back or worse sell it.
This is a golden opportunity. I think that she should have an Air Arms S410 Carbine. You do the fills for her. 😀 …with a nice walnut stock of course. 😉
if you want to get the lil’ darlin’ a MSP hunt up a second hand Benji or Sheridan…ideally something prior to Crosmans involvement with the companies
the old Benjis & Sheridans are much better quality than the Crosman produced junk
either are a bit more money than the 760 but far far better rifles

However I think your first statement is like saying the 1377 is not “worth the effort” I have seen some really nice customized 1377s.
This is to be a polish a turd project. If I lose $30. on a air gun, I will not be upset.
I just found the Crosman forum and have seen people do mod them out so 😛 😆 .
50 yards this time. I also had a spinner out at 75. Next time I want the 100-200 yard range.
She is intimidated by the scuba tank. This way she can fill it herself.
Blue trail range. Thats in my neck of the woods about 15 minutes away. How did you like shooting there how far did you shoot?

base QBs can be picked up on the Yellow & Brads for $50.00 give or take
the rest of the bits for perhaps a bit over a C note with a bit of poking about
lots of modz and aftermarket bits
800FPS is easy with a tanker conversion and more often than not they do shoot very well accuracy wise

Pumping SUCKS! Have you considered a Crosman 2250XT. It is a CO2 single shot that is fed with an 88 gram AirSource powerlet. I have the 2250B that came out first and it is a great little gun.
