I have an AF. I got it before I joined. But do to modding it hasn’t been in my possession much since then. It spent a lot of time at talon tunes, than in HI for a almost two years and now it’s being turned Into a .257.
Wait a minute… 😕 You don’t even have an airforce?! 😯 try building your guns over a long weekend (fourth of July, Easter, etc.). My buddy droped my 2400 in the snow when we were hunting house sparrows around the yard. I grabbed the gun, brushed the snow off, cussed him out :2: , ran inside and had the thing taken apart in under 10 minutes, dryer out in the next 10, and put back together in 10. It’s just finding your way around the gun. you can do it!
its not so much the money, I should be doing fine on that once I get my own route at new job, but the time. I only have a couple hours day and I by the time I get house and yard work done I have to go to bed. Id like to be able to put the money towards another gun that isn’t so customizable or need to be worked on becasue it wasnt done right by the factory like my edgun. I have been on this forum since 2009 I haven’t shot an air rifle since except for chrony and testing, even tho I have probably spent over 10k on stuff. I just need to find a couple of guns that wont require much work other than basic cleaning and replacement of worn out parts. I get worried that by the time Im retired and actually have time for the fun project guns I wont even be able to see to use them.
Hey man, don’t give up on yourself! We all have gone through rough patches with managing time and guns, but we’re still here! Just put the parts in a box for a few weeks, and try to forget about them. One day in a few weeks you’ll be cleaning, and all of the sudden BAM!!! Airgun parts in a box! For you! You obviously have time to do what you wanted to do, I mean your cleaning for gods sake! So you’ll sit down and put the pieces together and go shoot it and kick yourself for ever thinking about selling your gun. And that’s when you will be ale to take the pebble from my hand young grasshopper, as I am total shit when it comes to time management. Also, you got 5 pages of responses for your questions, I don’t know about everybody else who replied, but I want you to build your go to gun. Hope this helped relight the fire that once burned inside you.
So my gun sits like it did at the last post and I don’t think i will have time to continue with it and will have to sell it? I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions on a selling price? I have no idea how it performs and do not have time to find out. I have recently gotten a new job that isn’t going to allow me to finish this build even tho its basically done. Ill try to list off what i have for it.
Should have most factory parts for the 1377 and a 2240 a 2240 I bought. I have the bnm multi shot breech, stock adapter for the 1377 tube, and shroud and baffles for the LW 14” .25 barrel from mountain air along with the internals from him for the 1377. It has the grip frame that allows for AR grips and bug buster scope. I also have the hipac setup for it with a couple of extensions. I know i have well over 1K into it and also know that with customization airguns that doesn’t mean you’ll get that so looking for suggestions. I now I’d probably get more parting it out, but don’t know if i have the time to do that. I’m going to have to get some guns that don’t allow for all the customization or need to be upgraded, I simply will no longer have the time it.
Thanks for any input guys!
Thanks, I forgot the hipac is inside the 2240 tube.
Any suggestions?
Mine was the same way always had a gap between the tube an HiPac. No biggie the tube doesn’t hold air.
I’m having a hell of time screwing the hipac into the 2240 tube. I cant seem to get it all the way tight, there’s about a 1mm gap between the two.
Any suggestions?

I believe there is enough reticle travel, I only needed to move it around 6″, but that would be relative to the distance, so technically there should be enough room. What will you be shooting at within 3 yards?
I guess I was wondering if there’s enough travel in the scope to be able to use it at that 3 yds.
I have a bug buster on a 2400 18″ barrel with a stock style steel breech. I sighted in at 25 yards and used chairgun software to calculate the trajectory, and it is very accurate at doing that, if anything I am pulling the shots. I don’t know what you are planing to shoot in, but the parallax goes down to 3 yards, and is very clear.
got the screws and went to put it back together and realized I have no transfer port seals, looks like it will be at least another week.
For you guys with the bnm breech and maybe a bug buster scope with the rings it came with how close can you effectively use the scope?
