200 fpe with 7 rings
Did a little testing today and got 1139 fps with 7 rings and 976 fps with 9 rings. Would have done 6 rings but 7 ring is cracking a little so the 6 ring would for sure.

Thanks. I’m surprised know body called BS with the high numbers and also nobody called me out. I have made 144 fpe with 3000 psi on air. These numbers are on 3000 psi of helium. I bought RC’s booster pump setup so I could make my own 3000 psi. I guess on the West Coast you can’t get 6000 psi bottles of helium. Mine had 2300 psi and I pumped it up to 3000 psi. It is funny because I have been trying to do this for a while and as soon as RC shipped the booster the “Big Bore on Helium” thread started. I only did it to see what it would do. Tank is still full and not leaking. Believe it or not tank is a tad over 4 ounces lighter then a tank filled with air. I’m still going to get more out of the .25. I’m pretty sure the next thing I do will get me over 160 fpe on air. I will do numbers with both air and helium. Well tanks for believing my numbers.
DAMN, he sure did. I think mine hit 141 FPE before i retired it. Ok, i seriously gotta think about getting mine back up and running.

And what would long range accuracy be like with this setup-i mean will you lose accuracy once the slug slows down to sub sonic? I’m trying to do some research regarding supersonic accuracy and exactly how the sound barrier affects a pellet/ slug. Thanx Nick.

So what is the record for .25? I’m going to make a new stem for my valve and want to break 160 fpe. Maybe 225 fpe with helium.
