Q:

2009 Shot Show – Booth 310

I just registered for the show, and will be going this Sunday – all day. And yes, I WILL be bringing back pics.

How about generating a list of questions you’d like for me to ask?

Here’s mine:

1. The McMike in-bottle regulator, what gives?
2. Status of the BKL buyout?
3. Why won’t someone make a TRI-Rail specifically for the Condor?

Thanks! thats good info. I have seen those photos and one other type of bull they make. How did the p90 inspired one feel to the shoulder? I will have to get one.

The former eastern bloc countries are very adept at making world class stuff. The wood is beautiful, and I’m not typically a fan of wooden stocks. The craftsmanship is outstanding – typical for what you would expect of a high-end European import, except this gun is pure Russian. The power is around 30 fpe in .22 cal.

Specs:

Weight: 2.8 kg : 6.1 lbs
Length: 680 mm / 26.7″
Barrel length: 420 mm / 16.5″
Trigger pull: 1.5 kg / 4.4 lbs
Magazine Capacity: 8 pellets
Operating pressure: 30 MPa (300 bar)

There are several t-4 bullpup stocks out there, quite possibly they are an in a process of evolving their designs. These and some exotic field target rifles were what they had on display. I held the one with the “benchrest” style forend.

They have put a cheek rest in front of the breech, as shown. When I shouldered it, my cheek immediatetely went to the breech. One of the reps looked at me and said, “you’re a hunter”… I laughed and showed him pics of the dead iguanas I had saved on my Blackberry.

He showed me how the shoulder the gun with my cheeck on the forward rest, and place the butt more toward my bicep. Awkward feeling at first, but very tight and secure. It’s a real firecracker in a compact package!

If the model they had on display was a working unit, I woud have hit the nearest ATM and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse………

Think about putting a level at the rear of that Tri Rail! That idea comes from Shadoh 😀

Looks good I am looking at level vials now for the project.

What’s up with the new russian bullpup repeater? price, power, us release?

First off, I had security mention that photos were not allowed unless I was sporting press credentials, so sorry guys 🙁

Secondly, the folks from Demyan were there as were their bullpups. All of the guns on display were marked “dummy”, but it did give me an opportunity to at least shoulder the bullpup. Honestly, I want one even more now. Perfect for covert, sniping operations and easily stored in the rear seat away from prying eyes.

They do not have a US distributor, price will be about $1000-$1100 range. I can tell you that while I was there, Scott Pilkington was speaking to their people with great interest. So who knows what will possibly be available?

I just got done uploading these pics from the Demyan catalogue in Photobucket – enjoy.

Those Bullpups are nice, I’ll take one !

Later

😯 Oh shit!

8 round mag…

Not a huge fan of the stock but I can make one easy… Those are some damn sexy rifles, hope they come to the US sooner rather than later…

Thanks for the porn ZHH!!!!!!!

Just like to throw this out there.

I am going to have a tri-rail made full length for a Condor in about 2 weeks I will post the pictures to see if there is any instrest.
Don’t want to step on anyone’s feet if there is already one in the works.

I think its wonderful you have what you have..Before the country went to hell I used to make a living with my tools..I actually saw a guy try to make a wood lathe using a 1/2 inch hand drill with a philips bit in it to turn the wood and a nail in a block of wood for the center.
Sorry to hear about your wife, I had one like that for 4 years..craziest bitch I ever met..we were either fucking or fighting.. no in between..

Yeah, lets make a sight the majority of your customers do not want the priority.

They are hoping to make a bunch of sales to clubs. Their priorities are upside down.

….Synopsis, did you switch to decaf?

Not going to argue about the delays, but Yvette went on and on about how long it took just to get the sights right.

I was told that as recently as June ’08, Airforce reps were seen at the NRA Jr Airgun Competition in Des Moines. At that point, they haven’t decided to commit to producing the rifle yet. However, they keep on advertising that the Edge is “approved by the National 3 Position Air Rifle Counsel for Sporter Class”.

How is it that they were able to get approval on vaporware? It seems like they have some kind of “in” with the Civilian Marksmanship Program…

btw: This is 10-meter sporter class, not FT.

See it just doesn’t add up at all… June 08 they were not certain they would produce it, so why was PA advertising it to be delivered by then? Took a long time to get the sights lined up? Hmmm, I smell something fishy! Not to mention there are loads of high quality aftermarket sights that they could have easily used in place of their poorly designed ones (PA wants $127 for the rear sight alone)… Well there goes the reliability of the Edge…

Boy, I see now why these guns are the way they are…

Oh and you can bet your ass I am on caffeine, which doesn’t get me all that worked up…

Now.

Watching someone drop the ball, fuck with the customers and make piss poor excuses, that gets me worked up!

AF, you reading this, how about some truth? Or are you scaret?
