.22 Lelya Shot Strings
When I got my Lelya the regulator wasn’t working and it was shooting from 720-860fps in a bell curve. I determined that one of the o-rings in the regulator must be bad so I pulled the regulator apart yesterday and replaced the orings. I didn’t find any bad o-rings, but I replaced them anyways while it was apart. After reassembling the gun I shot these two shot strings using JSB 18.1s:

The regulator now seems to be working, but compared to what I have read from RIDETOEAT and sniperlabyo, I should be getting better efficiency and more shots per fill. When I get some free time I am going to try lower the HST and then slowly bring it back up to see if the HST is set too high. Has anyone else done a shot string with their new Lelya yet? If so, what kind of FPS and shot count are you getting?
Here is my basement chrono setup.

Actually I get one ragged hole groups @ 30 yards with the 16 grainers. I read an old post and found that they are the ones that Ed himself suggest to use with the .22 cal. Leyla. Yes you can shoot the 18 grainers but you would have to turn the gun up and you’re shot count will suffer. I personally prefer a higher shot count. Considering 790-800 fps. Hoping to get 25 plus shots. Thinking this should be enough energy up to 70 yards for most small game.
On another note, at the moment I don’t have a lot of time on my hands so I’m thinking of sending the Lelya out to Ernest so that he could work his magic (trigger work, barrel polishing, maximum efficiency, etc.). I just don’t have the time to work on my guns the way I used to 🙁
