.22 Marauder barrel
Pulled the barrel on my MRDR for a bit of clean up.
First thing I noticed was there was a “dent” on the breach end that cause some metal to protrude into the inleade area, a little work work a file took care of that.
the lands where rough and filthy, polished them up a bit with metal polish, will probably do a bit more polishing as it is still a bit rough.
Crown wasn’t too bad, polished it up – well see….
smoothed out the transfer port area in the bore.
the scary one is the inleade isn’t concentric to the bore, there is a small lip on one side, maybe a couple thou….
going to try the earplug and sand paper trick to see if I can smooth it out a bit
hopefully this will tighten up the groups a bit and make it less pellet picky

How do you use the earplug to polish the leade? sounds like a great tip.
The transfer ports give me fits to get smooth. Any tips for that?

All that is scary. You hear so much about their lack of quality control. I would like one in 25, but like I said it scares me a little when I hear stories like yours.
Years ago, I bought two Uberti 44 S&W Russian revolvers with consecutive serial numbers. One of them had no rifling on one side of the barrel for an inch and half.
I grew up 3 miles outside of Sisters on the Sisters Redmond Hwy, our place was acrossed from Aspen Lakes golf course, I sold the last of that land about 7 years ago. I still have a couple of kids that live there.
