.22 VS .25
As I work on part 2 of my video I would like to hear what you guys think the difference is between the .22 vs .25? Part 2 I want to maybe attack or confirm some traditional ideas regarding the .22 and .25 calibers. I am not looking for an argument, just your opinions. This will help me bring on film what you want to see.

Excellent video. I know from doing a few years ago it is a ton of work.
We did much of the same kind of tests years ago. Using a single average number for diablo pellet’s the average BC is really off a lot. This chart (off of GTA) gives an idea of the ever changing BC of some .22 JSB pellets and how significant the changes are over the velocity. Basically, a diablo shaped pellet sux compared to a bullet shape (the 25.2 gr line). We need to move off of them at some point to get around some current limitations and to keep improving airgun performance. (assuming you are not trying to reduce lethal distance by increasing drag)

The usual argument between .22 and .25 is high Bc and wind bucking ability of .25. I request you to add this test in your video.

I will be expanding the range of the 22 and the 25 out in the open which is new to me.
But since its private land I will be able to set up tables , Ice chest , and umbrellas for shade,
Its looking good.

Mike out in your “open” country, you’ll also learn a lot about heat mirage when things start to heat up this Spring and Summer! Good ideas on the cooler and umbrella… lot of folks won’t realize the umbrella ain’t necessarily for rain! :8: :8:
Every one talks about the 25 having better POI in the wind, I myself have not found that to be true, Now 100% of my 100 yard shooting has been in a big pit where the wind is not an issue, Now all that may change as I no longer can shoot in the pit and I am in the possess of setting up a shooting range on my daughters 20 acre Horse ranch , Just have to convince her the horses will be safe,

Good job on the 1st part of the video Brian. If both guns are close in accuracy seeing some 5 shot groups at 75 and 100 yards. One caliber right after the other at the same distance. If you can get a day with little wind and another day with light wind the comparison test would be even better.
