Q:

.22 Vulcan doesn’ need 250 BAR :!:

I got nearly 90 shots before it went off regulator below 890 FPS and that was around 115 BAR on the gun gauge.

Darn, that target came up sideways again. I took the picture straight.
This was my 50 yard target for 66 shots. Don’t know how I did it but twice I double fed a second pelled. Later using the chronograph at home I did it again and recorded a shot at 424 FPS. On the target there was a second poor hole 7 to 8 inches beloe PO Aim.

I also fill the cricket max to 220bar but usually to 200bar. For example yesterday I fill the cricket up to 195bar and a got usable 60shots without POI change at 50 mtr.
Velocity 880fps / 18grain JSB :biggrinn:

I never fill mine over 210B and usually just to 200B. I still get good six mags / 66 shots before the POI changes.

Thanks. My fill bottle is regulated at 200 bar. Still deciding on Vulcan caliber (need backyard friendly so leaning towards 22). Wondering if I also have to budget a new tank too. If I can get 3 or 4 mags per 200 bar fill that would be great.

benj, just a guess from my notes I’d say at least 50 shots. But I have no idea how much a little variation in regulator settings could have.
I already refilled to about 245 BAR BUT I’ll try to record my shot count and watch for the 200 BAR reading.
Will I ever get comfortable looking at that gauge next to the muzzle ❓ ❓

Can someone let me know how many shots you get starting at 200 bar until it falls off the reg? For a .22

I have one of the first batch of 22 Vulcans (serial #7). Out of the box I got 55 shots before it started to drop off. Mean: 902 ft/sec, Max: 911 ft/sec, Min 891 ft/sec. Pressure started at 250bar and ended at 150. I’m shooting JSB’s 18.1 grainers out of this guy. I haven’t checked it since but will do it again after a few more tins.

I’ve seen some others post this already but the “ping” has quieted down quite a bit. Its now what I’d consider a very neighborly report.

I wanted to chronograph the low end to see where I have to refill. To wet to take everything to the range. When finished I decided to only fill to 245 BAR. That should give me 66-77 rounds without concern. Thats 11 shots per magazine for the .22. Hell, I got to tired shooting 77 rounds the other day.

I’ve been getting about 2 days a week to get out. Then it’s soggy wet. Today, now yesterday ,it was rainy earily but I lucked out at the range. There was one person already at the 25/50/100/200/300 yard range so I took the small bore 50 yard range by myself. It wasn’t as bad as the other, very little mud. It’s good to be retired and not be bothered by the weekend crowd. Small cities do have some advantages.

I assume you have a 25 oakey. That seems like a lot of shots on a fill anyway.

I’m changing up my hold to lighter and doing better with the .22.
Had a bunny munching away in the grass at 40 yards. He was a good listener but mo conversationalist. i let him be and walked around him. I’ sure that’s why a grounghog came out from cover to munch some also. The groundhog came onto the range at 25 yards from me but as soon as I looked his way he was gone. One of these days…..

I got off 56 shots shot down to 120 might have over filled it a little. Did not crony yet no time and when there has been time the sun has not been out or it’s raining.
