yeah i think my choice is down to the 1 the veteran, or 2 the cricket….in that order ….thanks for the help guys
how hard is it to tune a vulcan to give 920-940 with 25gr jsb ? i really dig its features, light, short even short with an added dust collector
Well then, a non tuned Cricket will still give you more power then you where asking anyway :winkn:
blows through my budget…going with georgia ….plus i dont know them…i want to stay with talon tunes….

A Cricket Power tuned by Georgia Airguns does 920+ fps with the 34gr JSB,….yes you read that right the 34gr JSB not the 25gr :biggrinn: :biggrinn:
hmm tony only has the vulcan .25 in stock arghhh…..i really dig the rifle, but it seems a tad low on power my rapid would do 930 with 25gr jsb…from what i can read the vulcan comes in under 900
can the vulcan be dailed up in power easily…as i said im not looking for a project gun….i just want to shoot
20 MOA cant built into the picatinny rail. Great regulater and updated from Mutant. Trigger to die…or kill for. I was shooting at 68 – 69 lb/flb
(my mistake, 60 ft-flb, put in the wrong pellet weight) energy with a few twists of the HST adjuster at golfballs at 250 yards. One of the quietest airguns in its class from the factory. Add an LDC, mine being a Ronin, and further attenuate your report. Decent shot count depending on tune.
No reason to buy these….none I can come up with, anyway. :4:
whats your shotcount at 60 fpe ?
.
I’d go with the Veteran 25 std, why you ask ?
Because it’s all you asking for, with more.
good trigger, Excellent trigger, Check !
about 50 fpe, 55 fpe and more, Check !
.25 , Check !
For extra stealth, easy to add with an adapter an LCD of your choice.

you guys are not making it easy :-)….i only get this chance once in a while to get a new rifle of this caliper (read price) once in a blue moon.
i moved to a new area…i got 45y in my backyard …but neighbors are VERY close…so i need a VERY neighborhood friendly rifle hint hint….also i can have no runners(squirrels)….my crapid mk3 .25 (about 50 fpe) has so far filled that niche..its not a crapid anymore should just say rapid….but for the money i expected a top notch product, not something i had to pour countless hours into to get it to be what i wanted….but i wanna try something new….bullpups imho are awesome format….i want one, i need one
theres now so many to choose between…i want a product that work…i dont want to tinker and improve…
you might say get a .22….but all my airguns have a purpose…i got the .22 base covered by an AA410 carbine its dead accurate its a keeper…i need a .25 for hunting and plinking…as my rapid is going up for sale so something has to take its place..preferably something more quiet/regulated/better shotcount
Don’t have experience with Cricket but imagine that would be a superb choice as well. I believe it gets more shots than a Taipan of equal caliber. On-board mag storage. Same style side cocking lever. Edguns have a few nice offerings. So many to choose from for sure.
Crickets make that power easily too.
Because the .25 Veteran (also comes in .22) is the newest iteration of the Taipan, the former being the .22 Mutant.

fx is tied in with AOA….and i will have nothing to do with those lying bastards…..
why the veteran ?
If I was you I would look very close at the Veteran 25.You may have a big problem putting the gun down,
Or you can spend another 800 dollars and buy an FX product, You will have to work out the problems with the FX gun, as there are many.
Nothing wrong with buying a gun with lots of problems, Some air gunners like to work on there guns a lot.

maybe one last question …how quiet is the cricket, does it need a LDC too to be real mouse fart quiet ?
