Q:

25 cal Bobcat, Fobcat, Knobcat, Fuglycat, Knobjob

Check out the internals on a 25 cal Bobcat.

MAN: that is a “cheesy” setup! I mean REALLY?

I could come up with something at least that good at home and I am just an oldgoat with a drill press and vice.

People are signed up and waiting to pay $2200+ for that gun?

WTF am I missing here?

Even with the overweight second revision stock (maybe they will come up with something decent looking and lighter on the 6-7th revision) it is still a fucking ugly air gun!

I was going to post this on the Yellow and see how long it lasted. I knew it wouldn’t last long and I would probably get banned.

NEVERMIND!

Ill agree that the Royale trigger is good…. but it takes a back seat to the one that RAW uses on the HMX. (i know not a Bullpup)

Ive owned a BC and sold it. Yes a good trigger but it has more potential… ( the bull pup linkage) I did some polishing to the pads and grub screws and it made it a lot smooth than that it was out of the box. they use a magnetic ball ends on the linkage its actually a really good idea. … but like i said some elbow grease and a little patience that trigger comes really close to what my FX500 was. I actually liked the BC trigger more

Well, since I got my BC the Edgun has not been fired more then 10 shots…
The BC has soooooo much better trigger!
The accuracy is the same or a tad better with the BC imo.
Yes, Edgun is better looking and lighter then the BC.

Once again – there´s no comparison regarding the triggers. The Royale – trigger is good. Really good.

I would not be that harsh on a gun I hadn`t held or shot. Its pretty obvious from the EBR match they can shoot. As far as the picture goes I don`t see anything to knock
outside of the gauge setup. The owners seem to like them especially the triggers and Ted sure likes his and who gets to shoot and compare more than he does and he has always told it like it is as far as i`m concerned.Would I buy one?Don`t know,I also think they are expensive, but I might. To me a gun is a tool and looks are nice but performance is the main thing. Not being able to work on it like the Edgun would be a negative as I would not want to ship it 2800 miles to AOA. PS,Did anyone see the R3M .25 on the Yellow for $1550 a couple of wks ago?I think it was still avail the next day.I thought it was a good deal but what a $drop

Me neither. Since i´ve shot many pellets with one i am allowed an opinion. And it is : Well shooting gun with great trigger. Fugly and clumsy but well shooting.

Brother Fredrik;

this is true and this will happen to all of us when we will get a new toy, my dream PCP was my marauder it was everything for me,my world and my all, i was in deep love with here for the last two years, sit beside her and watch her if i was not able to shot while i was at home, or cleaning every week, but i took it out only one time since i got my R3M, i believe this is simple feeling and will be happened with all of us,,,, i know there is a big difference between my M-Rod and R3M, but she was my favor for a years … still i like it but my R3M is my favor now …. and i am very happy with her …

Lol I thought the same things when I saw those pics yesterday, IMO the BC still looks like a retrofitted long-gun 😕 and in that respect I don’t think it really has a “bone to pick” with thoroughbred bullpups like Edgun and possibly the Cricket. And furthermore that dinky gauge assembly looks like it was setup for failure, like others have said: I still have not seen any definitive evidence that the Bobcat is anymore accurate than the Edguns and/or Crickets….

2) Ugly women are attracted to you

3) Both of the above

Forum members are scratching their heads over this one. Could you post some pictures to help us out???

Kindest regards,

Whew – thought that was Fredrik A for a sec. I have my Edgun triggers now as good as the Cricket trigger which I improved as well. All are set at 12 oz with the same 1st stage length, zero creep, and polished critical areas. I just don’t see how the BC trigger can be a whole lot better unless it does a reach around as you shoot. 😛 The $230 Jewel triggers on my varmint rifles only get so good. I am feeling my wanker being pulled. 😳

The ST sure works, as far as Airguns. There´s no denying FX makes some accurate rifles , but … No one can convince me the idea of having the rifling just 4″ in the end of a barrel is better than having it all the way thus giving the projectile more time to get into a smooth spiral. FX philosophy is that a pellet gets more velocity in a smooth passage but what does that help when the end of the passage is choked and “rifled” – or twisted ?? As said it may work at the lower velocity these guns provide but it sure isn´t enough for iex powderburners.
To add insult to injury the old LW barreled FX´s were every bit as accurate.
Untill someone proves me wrong i´ll remain at my statement : It´s a wheel invented all over again.

I can see some potential efficiency theory, in having a pellet skirt sealing against the smooth bore to gain speed and then introducing the twist if we can be sure that the length of twist is adequate to provide optimal rotation. So far It does seem to work as far as shooting well. If it is better or not is still to be determined. I have always loved Edguns, It is a combination of Ed’s small operation making great guns out of utter simplicity in design, Ted and his video’s bringing me back to the sport when I realized what PCP offered and how they worked, and I have to admit coming through a Tacticool phase in my gun hobby that brings me to forever like bullpup designs. The Bob Cat just screams ” Me to, I’m here to cash in on the craze. The Cricket ” while the name is dumb “, looks like a gun designed to be the real deal, also shoots well by all reports and is arguably the best looking Bull Pup offered. I am working through Steve to give one a try as we speak. I want to see a cricket with a mid ship left side cocking lever so it can stay shouldered and mostly on target to take advantage of it’s multi shot. The BC don’t need one as it looks to clunky to shoot in the first place.

EDIT: … SeCoda: You posted while I was typing… I don’t know what to say….never mind it is fitting for this thread, wow yuk .

We have been down this road so many times. Now they have showed us that she is ugly all the way to the bone. No matter how nice she is – she is still fat and ugly. Some try to convince us that being nice is all that matters. Keep things in perspective. It’s one of Ted’s in Mad videos enough to get you past this?

Do you still want one? 😯

You aren´t missing anything. Well said, Ride.
The BC is ugly – why do it the ugly way when it can be done with style ??
There´s NOTHING the BC can do that can´t be done with an EdGun/Bug. And then some. Take the BC , as an example : In Europe all the .177 to .25 cal BC´s come without a regulator. Thus the deviation in speed. Whatever those Russians discovered in the World of reg´s still seem to beat the “Western” world. I mean : Would it be that hard to get an BC with a good reg, from the Factory, without paying extra for it ? And, if you order yours with a reg , the shot count and the pellet speed is going to be reduced.
Have i ever mentioned the BC being Fugly ??

No one can convince me the ST approach being better than a barrel rifled all the way either. Maybe, just maybe, the theory works on an AG but once the bullet speed increases past the speed of sound there´s not enough rotation accomplished with 4″ of “rifling” the ST gives ya… As said it may cut it for AG use but then again isn´t the rifling at whole barrel length better ? Why invent the wheel all over again anyways ??

Ugly women like me..!!

I can see someone, even an Edgun guy, wanting to try a cricket, but why would anyone want a bobcat, it is ugly as hell and i cant think of anything it does a cricket don’t do. I forget the weight specs but i think it is heavy too. What am i missing
