25 Condor and Dyotat valve
Filled to 3100 psi and shot a 74 gr, at 945, next I tried a 76 gr and to my surprize, I could not get the whole slug in almost, but a few thousands sticking out, I had to use my knife to ram half the slug in, too tight in my opinion, the 74’s are sweet though just run them in straight. The 76gr shot about 37 fps. slower then the 74’s heres some numbers…

8,9,10 shot at my target 35 yards, shot the 74’s, may shoot good, windy today and 2 shots within a 1/4 in. more testing hopefully tomarrow, shot 11, or 12, sorry last track, was a 74 gr and it was 828, ending pressure 2800.

Just shot an 8 shot string, with a sd of 4.89, and a average of 894fps. Im crazy about this SS. It definately is a Dyotat. Oh, EJs, 75fpe SS. Remember guys, this is a Condor stock hammer weight.

I told you the 74.5 gr slugs were a maybe. They don’t work in .257 either. I was hoping slowing them down would help because they have been shot 1000-1080 fps and are no good.
The 76.5 work real good. You just need to push a little harder to get them in. They are the same sized slug but one has more lead to cut through.

and then shoot Kodiacs with the pw on 4, same poi, have not totally researched this all the way yet, they both shoot well, tried the 74.5 slugs and no good. I think the slugs really need much more speed, cause it seem to be clipping off the end cap of the SS. I only have like 5 more to test with the end cap off.
I shorted the stroke of breech to tophat, and am getting 840, with eun jins, at 2500 tank pressure, 10 shots with a sd of 10.

What’s fps is it shooting out of a 12″ barrel?
Tried to drill out a GTBJ shroud today and ruined it. Anyone want to make me a shroud? Want one like the above, goes to the bushing and start an inch and 1 half later, about nine inches long total. 5 16ths hole. Gun is loud, not too bad, but after 100 shots, ring, ring, of the ears.

I have good luck with my .25 and 7 rings. I can hit shotgun shells at 45 yds shooting around 140-150 fpe.
I will shoot some of my other slugs and see how they do next week.
I put the Dyotat SS together today, boy loud, dechoked 12 and a quarter in. barrel, Dyotat spring, and regular Condor hammer. Tried a few EunJins and wow. Im doing a review and pics, but my computer is down again. I will post the whole review later, but will try and keep you informed. So far no slug shot well in the choked barrel.

Its no problem. My MEAN or SARCASTIC days are somewhat behind me. So no, I was truly confused by your typing (computer issue, not yours) and I was HONESTLY trying to figure out if something was wrong with your gun for you. Just trying to help and i’m not even sure if HELP is what you were after. I should have just left the topic up to Doug and yourself to be honest cause he built your gun.
But anyways, no, I was being 100% sincere in my questions. Your the last guy I would be sarcastic with or mean too so you calling me a spring HACK really threw me for a loop.
As far as the Corsair goes, I trimmed off 2 coils on my OEM spring and while it lowered the power, it did NOT make the gun more consistent cause the gun has NO RETURN SPRING which is a MAJOR FAULT in my opinion. Well, that’s a FACT and not an OPINION. I then contacted DAN and he sent me a new and original spring. BUT I DID NOT HACK THE SPRING. I PURPOSELY trimmed it down by a coil or 2 (and deburred and polished the end) to make the guns FPS spread more consistent which MANY folks do to. And no one calls them a spring hack for doing so….lol. My gun filled to 3600 or even 3800 psi was not very consistent. But with no return spring……..why would it be? I see many folks claim to have super good groups and consistent FPS spread but I simply find it hard to believe. Again, maybe it was just my gun that had issues. But as Dan told me, he was happy to have me shoot or own the Corsair cause I actually took my gun into the field and shot it too death. AND BOY DID I FIND FLAWS!
I am also the reason why a VERSION 2 or CORSAIR PLUS came out. IT was me who bitched to Dan about my CHINESE STEELED RECEIVER and how soft the steel was and that it started to DENT around the bolt handle/receiver. The bolt would open itself upon firing due to the receiver being a TRUE QB ACTION (not smart). A QB is a CO2 gun and NOT a HPA gun. BIG DIFFERENCE! That gun still has a few faults or shall I say, DESIGN FLAWS. But the gun is what it is now. My Corsair Plus is laying in pieces right now ready to become the CORSAIR 3 (Corsair QUEBED)!

I’ve got alot of things going on right now, wanting to do some things with my guns, and running into so many problems like wanting to do this review and everything goes wrong, from air to rain to computer and money, plus I quit smoking ,so, I am not quite myself right now. SORRY Tofaz, I did not take you as being sincere, I also feel if you read the post above you would know my computer wasn’t working. As far as guns go the 457 is one gun I was glad I bought from you, I get 3 shots, and close, bullseye material, I thank you for all you have done for me and sure feel bad you weren’t dishing out shit, now show me how much shit you can really dish out. Don’t worry I won’t cry. LOL
