I ordered a .25 cal. barrel from Tony, I’ve only done valve mods,do you think I’ll have to get a heavy hammer? I would be happy if I just got low 900’s with the 42gr. pellets

This was stock Condor # with a 60 gr. Jerry slug, info for Powderburner.
shot some silverbears last night over the chrony at 1068, definitely supersonic. Dropped to 1050 and the “crack” went away. Exact speed of sound varries some based on climate, pressure, humidity, elevation.
Don G shroud works good tried some slugs and some crow mags, the only time I heard a report was when crow mag hit 1072fps, probably getting close to the barrier, shot seemed ok though, it was not sonic I don’t think, but it did make a dog sqeak up the block, man those slugs have some kick to em. I was getting 864fps on a 2900lb fill.
I’ll do some more chrony tests, with my condor the next warm day, that’s not too windy, but I know the advertisement for the 850 being the most powerful co2 is a lie, cause mine is faster. You know all I do is pop the valve stem out and take a dremel and square out the holes, it gives me about 20 more fps. I get 734fps. with a 14.3gr. and mine’s a .20 cal. and that’s at 75 degrees. the .25 cal. has more area to push against, I would like to get a light pellet and try it on gas I bet I’d be even more surprised then you are on the 26gr. going 590fps.
Is that the norm for a .25 caliber condor shooting crow mags on CO2?
Thats not bad considering my QB 78 barely gets 14.3 grain premiers to 700fps

Harry, I have no idea about this shroud, I think blue jay might have made it, this is for my .20 barrel. I have another shroud on order right now from Don G. for the .25 barrel.

So you have that type of neighbors too hey? I hate that.. When they see me with an airgun in my hand or target shooting in the back yard they run into the house. Sometimes I hear them say to their kids: “oh oh he ‘s out there again, watch out” or “run into the house, quick!”. They ‘re hopeless and clueless.. and they are 50yds away directly to the side of the house. I shoot towards the woods in the back with two (2) 2×4″s as my backstop. The other neighbors on the other side and across the street are pretty cool about it.
I wonder if I said “boo” to them one day, if they ‘ll run inside too 😆
I finally got my shroud from, get the blue jay, it is nice and quiet now, was shooting 23.7 ej.s’ at 1030fps. I got a few bullseyes at 35yds. took 3 dove, one at 25, one at 23, and one at 50yds., it was really cool I had to compensate for the wind, so I was about an inch behind the upper back and twang and loud smack, he just dropped without a flinch. the bad thing its in my mean neighbors yard and I’m going to sneak over there alittle bit later tonight to retrieve the bird.
I just tried the 6 ring slug, at 4ft. away, pw. full, into 4in. fence post, got 3 to 3 and an eighth inches penetration, 2500 fill. I was hoping it would go all the way thru.

I just bought a 93fpe .25 Condor. It’s on its way. It’s supposed to be doing 1,000fps. It ‘s supposed to get about 15 decent power shots. That kind of sucks but I doubt I ‘ll be shooting it at the highest PW setting. I get 25 good shots with my 75+fpe .22 Condor and 50 shots when I have the PW low and still shooting 60fpe (down to mid-high 40’s).

I was shooting the 42gr. today, my neighbor came out and started bitching said he could hear it in the house like I’m shooting an 30.06. So anyway,pw.8.5-12shots-894-967fps. fill 2450 down to2050. Was shooting 5 shot group inside a dime at 30 yrds.,before I got stopped. I wanted to get more testing done. Oh, forgot a shot- got a dove at 20 to 25 yrds. left a big hole in his back. Monday should be a better cause things are going to get much quieter if ya know what I mean.
