.25 Daystate Air Ranger on Order
After much research and nail biting I have a .25 Daystate Air Ranger on order with a Huggett shroud upgrade and yes another Hawke Sidewinder Tactical 6.5-20x. This is a 50 fpe model that does 40 shots. It should arrive Monday or Tuesday.
I also ordered a box of the Daystate solid 36 grain pellets that supposedly shoot well out of a few Condors to try in the Condor.

My buddy at our range has what he calls the best of the best collection for sporter airguns. He has an Air Ranger, FX Royale 500, a Rapid, and a Edgun. Another guy has the Air Wolf MCT. I shot them all and the AR and FX tops the lot for accuracy, trigger, quality of workmanship, design, stock, etc. The Air Wolf is very good too if you like the electronics. It is adjustable but less power generally than the Ranger but a lot more shots.
Given a choice of one it was the AR and then FX in my opinion. I didn’t like the 47″ length on the FX or I may have been swayed in that direction. It is nearly a pound lighter than the AR.
Bone loves his Air Ranger 80 on the CPF. The 80 is also longer and heavier with a 24″ barrel vs a 17″ barrel on the std ARs. I chose the .25 AR 50 fpe setup that gets in the low 50s with heavy pellets. It gets about 40 consistent shots. You can get the ARs at 40, 50, 60, 70, or 80 fpe.
