Q:

.25 R3M standard shot string

Made a pellet trap out of a bucket and got some puck lights for Chrony so I decoded to do a shot string. There are still errors and times where I missed the sensor. The lights were under the diffusers on two posts. . Battery may be getting low in Chrony and I probably wasn’t always the same distance away from sensor so its not the most accurate . I will have to do it again making sure I’m a correct distance and have new batteries. I think I will go down to one set of post and try lights shining through the diffuser. Pressure started at 220 down to 110.

I just spoke to Shooting Chrony on the printer not printing the first line and they said they are replacing those and just send it in.

Hot damn!!!!

Need to send mine in I guess!!! :angrymob:

Got my the puff of air fixed and the hammer spring guide rod replaced. Wasn’t to bad to replace, worst part was spending $30 on that little piece of metal and waiting for it to come.
Gun is shooting upper 870’s, need to do some more work, but its off to Neil this week for new shroud. I will have to mess around with it more when I get it back. Not sure where my regulator is set now. It seemed last time I had to turn it opposite of what it should have been to gain fps?

Been trying to drop the velocity on My gun and I’m down to a 860 so I need to go up a little.
There is little room to turn out the hst screw before it comes off.

Do I just do the adjusting through the regulator?

Also getting a puff of air to face. All my searching says make sure the rtransfer port seal is in place or check bolt probe rings. Transfer port seal appears to be in place , but I cant find anywhere on probe where Orings would go?

Just saw Donny’s Post, will read up on that a little more

My 25 R3M Stnd came shooting about like Donny’s averaging 930 FPS for 40 shots. I turned down the HST and was getting about 50+shots averaging 890 FPS.

Today I took it apart and turned the regulator in from 12:00 to 4:00. My reg was marked 130 bar. BTW, Ernest Rowes degasser / reg puller is very nice. I refilled the gun and then shot it down to 100 bar. The HST is now adjusted for max velocity. I refilled and here is the string from 210 bar to 100bar.

Ride don’t knock the cricket, till you try it, I have both ed and cricket , hard to pick a favorite!!!!! 😆

That was no knock you just took it wrong, I know what they will do on consistency, they would look like a straight line on that for fun fuzzy math graph he posted !!! i kinda want one, I don’t know. It is a gun I will have to handle first I think. I am just stuck on Ed’s simplicity for now.

Seems to be clean.

You may try this Pellet tracking spreadsheet. The guy made a nice one.

I’d put at least 500 rounds through it but some say 1000 or more. On my .25 I didn’t notice any change after 500.

Speaking of tuning, by the looks of my string could my gun use that. It only has about 150 rds through it, is there a break in period? I didn’t like the shots that jumped up in the 40’s .

It is much easier to tune the graph than the reg/HST.
I can make your ill strings look healthy and perfect without any cost.
This will save your time, pellets, air, and frustration.
You will have a PERFECT Edgun in one minute.
Most importantly, it is FREE…
Let me know. :7:

Lol second graph definitely looks better! I got scared when I saw the first graph too.

Cool. Hard to believe they are the same strings. I was ready to march Donny out of the air core on the first graph but now think he deserves a medal on the second graph. 😀

Prism

Ride what software are you using for your shot strings? I am just using Excel but it is still ugly.

Well There goes the neighborhood, the Cricket guys will now be claiming a straight line is possible with their guns 😀

SECoda,
Do you like this graph better? I like it too….. two perfect strings from R3M… 😀

Donnyfl,
I use excel for statistics then transfer the data to Prism, a software for scientific graphics. It is very user friendly.

Endo
