.257 cal HP’s
Got my mold back from Eric at Hollow Point Mold Services. I got up early and went to casting some up. Eric told me that the bullet would drop roughly up to 5 grains with his standard HP pin mod. After casting, i went down stairs with 5 randomly picked bullets out of 200 and they weighed approximately: #1-69.7 grs, #2-70.5 grs, #3-70.5 grs, #4-70.5 grs and #5-70.4 grs. HELL A CONSISTENT IF I SAY SO MYSELF.
5 randomly picked bullets out of a batch of roughly 200 weighed 69.7-70.5-70.5-70.5-70.4 grs. I would say that’s darned consistent. Wouldn’t you?

I have been so close to doing that for a long time Cedric.
I see a 100 grain mold at Midway, it would be a perfect match for the Haley if it was HP’d.

The lead i use is like chewing gun that’s already chewed…lol! So i would guess the performance on game is gonna be catastrophic (video and pics soon to come). I shot a jack rabbit the other weekend with a Flat Point (SOLID) 257 in the chest and it emptied his chest cavity. At the shot, he stepped on his own internals. So i think the HPs will be even more destructive:

RJ just bought a 100 grain SPTZ mold that he posted not too long ago here on the TAG. He has some plans for it (major transformation) and i too am waiting to see what it can do. He is gonna mail me some to see how they do in my TD.257. he also has some “SMART” future plans for it. So if the results are good, i’d say, buy that 100 gr mold.
Also RC, if your interested in that weight and mold type, i say talk to Eric at HP mold services to see what he might recommend. maybe something can be done to it in HP to make it worthwhile. The SKYS the limit….lol!
