Q:

.30 Cricket Photos

Just got it in the Mail, over all .30 cal conversion look really good. The magazine machining it top quality, The barrel clamp bushing from 15mm to 16mm also top quality, The pellet probe
has the same quality as the stock, the only machining on the breech is to make clearance for the height of the new .30 magazine. All we need now is a 19″ CF Neil shroud, The 7″ supplied LDC has no internals baffles, so the blast is about 2 times as loud as the .25 cricket. OAL is 35″ as you see on the photos—-> so with a 19″ CF shroud will maintain the 35″ that will make it quieter the BOSS.
I HAVE NO .30 CAL PELLETS, come on Steve send me some, PA has none. To bad wanted to shoot is beast! but shooting air feels like a .25 cal barrel flip. Click on photos to view larger photo.
Next post will be: shot count, speed, accuracy to 50, 75 and 100y. and see the POI at 25y to 75y when sighted in at 50Y to see the precision of the barrel alignments.

Good to know you married well.

Oh she knows all too well just like she knows a scope purchase accompanies every gun. She is just busting my chops. :2:

Nothing better than being prepared! 😉

😆 I have over 30k pellets in inventory like these other guys. My wife, of course, just had to ask why I was wasting money on pellets for a gun I didn’t own. 😯

quote Fast and Danger:

I ordered 12 tins of .30 cal JSB 44.47 too. I dont even have .30 rifle, but couldnt pass up the deal on Pyramyd Air.

Now I am just going to patiently wait for my 30 cal R3 :5:

The 8 tins of JSB 30 cal 44.75 grain pellets arrived. They are huge!!!! 😯 They absolutely dwarf a 25 cal Predator. Nearly the size of a sparrows head (maybe a quarter). It will be like shooting artillery at them. We really need a 30 cal Predator now.

Hopefully, Earnest is just really busy and the 30 Cricket is doing great. 🙄

Thanks. Great info. Keep it coming! Shot count is similar to the 30 Bobcat at 75 FPE.

Well didn’t have time this weekend, today I shot some crony string to see what mods/adjustment is needed.

1st initial FPE was 62, Now up to 72FPE on the reg. using FX 46.3G lubricated pellets.

At 205B fill to 155B I got 27 shots on the reg at 11fps spread. High 843 Low 832.

17 Off the reg shots:
846
849
852
856
855
860

871
872
870
880
886
870
864
850
844
832

71 to 80FPE off the reg.

To me there are 44 useful shots at 205B fill, need more reg adjustments to get the off reg shots close to the reg shot if possible. Also do a shot string at 270B to 155B. 100 pellets left out of 300 so Steve
is sending more.
1st time I seen .30 pellets in person —–> man they are scary BIG!

Ernest

You should put them next to a 9mm/357. Even bigger

I can’t remember exactly when they switched but they have been shipping the longs with the longer stocks for a while now.

quote Wingman NZ:

Whats with the longer fore grip on the front of the stock? Is this new to all the long .25 cal Crickets or is it an option? I hope so because that shorter skeleton and bulldog stock on the longer rifle just looks wrong.. Proportions look much better like this.

Earnest – ever get those pellets? 🙂

Correct !!!!

the 70 FPE .30 loses the 10 extra FPE advantage by having such a larger pellet, so i rather take 10 FPE less and have a .22 for that application
