.308 Build
Ordered all the pieces from AF today so I can build my .308 Condor. Frame, trigger asembly, power wheel, fore arm grip. I have 28″ barrel and bigbore Blod valve. I will make everything else. Lathe is going to be here around 12:00 tomorrow. Can’t wait to start making things on a real lathe. I will then have .22 .25 and .308. Want to try and break 400 fpe with .308.

We have several .308 (or sizeable to something close) molds from Lee. Nothing special but they might work and would probably be good for testing. I’ll have to verify the sizing as we got the molds thinking we probably only hade to go to .310-.309 as the DAQs seem to prefer that range. I would suggest that these longer slugs will definitly require a lede be cut.
I assume that your rifles drug of choice is helium. I would like to try it with barnes slugs and an ST barrel. Unfortunately money is a problem right now.

I didn’t say how I was going to do it 😀 If I can get 233 fpe out of .25 I think 350-400 fpe out of .308 should be possible. Yes a 4500 psi tank is one of my next purchases. Have already been thinking about it.
You are going to need more than a 3000psi bottle to do that…good luck.
250, I think I can make that with .25 What are your best slugs? I think I can get 150gr going 950 fps to 1000 fps. If I can’t do it with blod valve I will make Cygnus X’s valve.
Good luck with that! 400fpe in .308 is a serious goal. We have some decent slugs if you stop off at 250 or so!

How are you getting over 200 fpe with the 25? I would like to stay in 25 if possible with that kind of power. Please let me know.
