Q:

4 Tank dumps in a row

Yesterday I had 4 tank dumps in a row.Not total but from 2700 to 1000 psi Took every thing apart and found my one piece top hat is slightly bent at the holes would this cause my problems or is there something else causing this. I have a 18″ .22 barrel with a condor valve ,heavy hammer putting out over 55 flb when this started to happen .

If the one piece top hat has compresses and is now expanding where the holes are, it will probably cause the valve to jam open like you are describing.

If you have your original AF valve stem, try that in the valve, just pry out the stem with a flat bladed screwdriver and plop in the old one, take a few dry fires to seat it and you should be ready to test from there.

Make sure there is not burr or particle on the top hat and it can move smoothly up and down in the brass part.

Also are you using a stock hammer spring, and hammer?

Yup I make sure I seat the pellets well. I just switched back to the 2 piece tophat and DUMP but this time I disassembled my shroud all over the back yard . I don’t know what is wrong .I’m starting to get frustrated 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥

Make sure your pellets are seated firm into the barrel and tight. If the pellet is loose or not seat flush the tank can dump.
