A big Chuck for a little machine…
I replaced my stock chuck with a 5″ chuck. It is a little bigger.
The hole now is over 1″ and makes life a lot easier turning stock.

Have you ever had a shop safety course?
Look through that before you start anything on the lathe.
For aluminum I cut on center and depending on what I am doing a I can adjust the speed on my lathe automatically.
Sweet, the one i have has a 1 3/8″ hole.
at what angle, and how fast do you cut aluminum?
