A good BB tool
The booster pump allows me to take a tank that has as little as 800 psi of air in it and fill my BB to 4500 psi . . Were ever my tank might be . Regulate the 800 psi down to 100 psi with the attached regulator and it no longer needs a compressor to drive it . Jeriod over on Randy’s site introduced me to this pump .The regulator can reduce 10000 psi to as low as 10 psi .Marvin

Kinda of a 2 part answer….
How many times you can refill your gun is dependent on the size of the air cylinder on the gun.
As to the value. I have a 80ct 3000 psi and a 75cf 4500 psi tank.
I just drop off a tank to get filled and pick it up when ever.
The only real benefit is when you cant get your tank refilled. For me I have 3 guns that require a 210 bar (3045 psi) or higher fill. So no matter when….I can generate the pressure I may need from a little as a 500 psi source pressure.
Not every dive shop is always open and some times their equipment has been down for maintenance. The only other benefit is if you cant get a 4500 psi fill at a local shop or Firehouse.
Just my 2 cents.

So let me ask this, I drive 5 min. to get 3300psi fill for 5 or 6 dollars, or drive 30 min round trip to get 4500 psi for 6 dollars, would you think that it would be worth it to me to do this.
I have a 88 cu. ft. carbon fiber tank, right now i am shooting 14 grain pellets in the 900’s so i am filling to 2100 psi for the most part , so i get allot of fills from the 4500 psi 88 cu ft tank.
I know that when shooting heavy pellets at high velocity that you use allot of air. like when i have my gun set up to shoot 32 g. pellets at 1000 fps. so i fill the gun to 3000 psi, and my 4500 disappears real quick.
SO if i use my shop compressor to drive the booster and my 4500 psi tank , after i have shot it down below 3000 psi ,for the second stage , i can fill my gun to 3000psi for how many times.????

I think the one for 271 bucks and that Airog sells is the best and safest option.
I will just use my compressor for the 100 PSI feed for now, Elk hunting season is months away so I have plenty of time to get the Regulator.
Right now I have to get that Ranger, hopefully next week.

I want to mention as well and you can do as you like . There are some cheap mig welding regulators out there . Like harbor sales . What I was told is that they really should not be used in this application . The nut or threaded material inside the housing that the adjuster handle screws into is plastic . The regulator is really not meant to be cranked down to far to increase psi flow . And if you were to decide to use it to do regulated fills later it could fail . If it fails the handle is now a bullet in flight and if you are in its path you will have a real problem . The other issue is they are meant to be unloaded or all pressure released after every use . The tank reopened and then regulator set . They were not designed to be cycled as much as I would cycle them . With that much use the plastic threads can be a real issue again with wear . Welding shop supply houses did not recommend the regulators for this type of use . Marvin

Yes… It will work. It is just a case of how fast the Compressor will fill the lower part of the booster . That is why a 5 CSFM is suggested. BUT slower will work….Just not as fast….LOL 😀
90 PSI will give you 4500 psi at 50:1 “Boost Ratio”
80 PSI will give you 4000 psi
Again…. all approx numbers.
The compression ratio is still the same…. It just takes a little longer to get there. I just checked.. the small HF pancake compressor is 1 cuft/min. Bottom line it will just take longer. Pressure is Pressure. It is dependent on how fast the compressor runs and the compressibility of the medium
I have been using my for just under a year…I think it was a good investment.

That is the regulator with out gauges . If you check out his store he has it with gauges as well . That is the same regulator Air Hog sells . You will like the price of this if you check out A.H. site . The one on the pump that Was only $ 75 was bought on e-bay as well . Do a search for hpa regulators and see what comes up . Marvin

Thanks for the video, it is clear I need to get a Regulator , I just would rather not spend 400 bucks on one. My little Harbor frieght compressor only runs about 85 to 90 PSI, will that run it.
Also it seems this will take a load off of my Shoebox too.

When I access that site for the regulator, all I get is a picture of a plastic valve handle with a brass stem with threaded ports on it, is there more to it, and it is 239 bucks.

Well I just pulled the trigger on the booster, you two are in competetion for being the antichrist of my credit card! 😈
Now I need to find a reasonable regulator.
Marvin was your regulator used when you bought it or is there a site that sells that regulator on EBAY?
