Q:

A little Metal work

I guess this fits into the Machinest part. 😆 It came up for sale this week. (Not by me 😥 )

Imade this one around 5 years ago, and was the # 2 Big Bear I made.

Wish I got this kind of money for them!

I will check them out and let the wife pick something out (if she can appreciate them) I don’t think people should just have things to have them unless they can appreciate what they are, and everytime I get something for the rifle she gets to buy something so I always have to consider this when modding my rifle 🙂

On the price list, no I really don’t. We never made one up for this year with every thing up in the air the way it has been with the move.

That and with me being around 10 years back logged in orders. ( Man, I need some elves! but then again, every one wants the Knives from the hands of the maker. So I guess that’s out! 🙁

There is are a few listed at KnifeLegends.com. There is a nice wright-up under Featured Artist there. Page 6 I think. Has a pic of Bob Loveless and myself. It kinda gets into what the Loveless Connection Knives are all about.

You can go to Lovett there under Makers or Artist. I forget which they call it. There i one for sell, or was a few days ago. Look on the top at the end of the row of blank pictures and click on Archives. It will show a few they have sold over the last year.

Even more fun is going one or two spaces above mine and take a look at Bob Loveless’s Knives. Better have a stiff drink first though! The prices will knock you down! 😯 😉

I was saying the same thing to my wife about him not ever wanting to live in a nursing home and it was almost above our skill level to take care of him so he would have ended up in a home which he said he never wanted.

My grandma confessed that she may have had something to do with him falling and I asked her how that could be and she said “let’s put it this way he went out a happy man” LOL hope I follow suit.

My grandpa said the B-29 had a lot of issues when they first got them due to engine failures then when they worked the bugs out they were excellent aircraft.

I think the 51 is one of the purest flying machines ever built.

Sorry to hear about your pop knife and my wife was wondering if you have a list of knives and pricelist she is psycho for knives like I am with this air rifle 🙂

Lots of pilots in the family (not me) I didn’t like the books,

Sounds like a hell of a Guy! You have every right to be proud. Shame he went the way he did. But may be not so bad. Dad too died at 87. He was in good health, but had a stroke while behind the wheel. the wreck really did him in. He ended up in a nursing home. A much slower way to go. Quick is much better!

Wish I still had pic’s of him. The house went up in flames while he was in the hospital. Built in 1869, and waited for him to go.

As far as the thread hi jacking goes, heck, I don’t’ even remember what we were talking about before!

I’m ex- Air Force. Love Aircraft.

Fav. fighter P-51 Mustang
Bomber b-29
Trans-port Herco!

Mike

Well knife I have thoroughly mucked up your thread 🙁 I get kind of intense and don’t even mean to it just happens. I do like your knives and do you have a list of all your products? my wife collects them and guns too yeah lucky me 😯

Yep they were tough back then and I always wondered what city that was he flew over on the way back from a bomb run the city looked leveled.

I always wonder what it was like to do what these guys did and mortality rates of 25% yikes.

He flew 29 missions in the B-17 and trained in B-24s then flew B-29s (when they had a lot of engine trouble then went to Korea and flew B-52s.

I have every letter he wrote while there to his mom (great grandma)

Papa was a camera nut and those were taken from his B-17. I sent the letters to history channel and military channel and the history channel sent me a release so might see the letters turned into something cool.

If anyone is interested in actual letters from a WW2 pilot here is a link to all my grandpas letters home some are boring some are interesting.

This is the jacket from his plane and every bomb is a mission

I guess you can tell how proud I am of him and I get fired up thinking about what a good aviator and soldier he was and I was taking care of him when he died he was 87 and healthy as a horse he fell in the bedroom and broke his neck I pulled his head out from under his body to get him air or he would have died right there and he lived 2 days then died.

Race car he built and raced he is 60 in the picture still racing he stopped at 70.

How can it be that you live in a civilised country, work hard and pay your dues etc. And then you can have all your hardwork STOLEN from you and this is gov’ sanctioned ??!!

I would not be able to contain the rage………

Now that I think about it, I think this is the firsst time I’v heard one of you Brit’s call one of us Yank’s “Civilised” LOL!!! 😆 😉

B-29? Now that is cool!!!

Nice pic of what looks like Calone Germany.

You Gran dad has that typical “little guy” cocky look to him. I’ll bet he was a real corker!

My Dad was one of those little guys, and tough as hell! I lost him a couple of year ago. I sure miss him.

I saw a pic of him once doing one handed push-ups with both feet off the ground. Day-um. No way I could do that!

Mike

Yep it’s that sick and we had several whole streets that were taken over by the airport and 2 of the streets had relatives living on them and they all got together with their attorneys and bought themselves a couple years but lost in the end and out more money.

The know not to get within 12-1400 meters of my house 🙂 I have 4 family members living on our street which they have been looking at our street due to the 600 acres of woods accross the street from me it’s a plant that used to make B-17 parts during WW2 how cool is that since my grandpa flew 29 missions at a captain.

All woods behind me too and half my street has had their house forclosed on due to the big 3 taking a dive so this town died. I lost my business due to the crash.

This is gramps B-17 crew also pics taken from his plane during combat.
He is back row second from the left.

He was a golden gloves boxing champ for the Army Air Force 457th bomb group 749th squadron 29 missions shot down once.

Sorry for hijacking your thread knife 🙁 and I get carried away with the war heros I look up to all of them.

Welcome to the Land of the Free. Home of the Brave. You just have to be willing to lose every thing to fight for your. But even that matters less and less these days. Now more than ever.

The Richer you are the more you get for free. Or just take.

And Justice for All.

Well, those who can afford Justice any way! It all boils down to who can afford the best Lawyer. 🙁

We were only leasing the land so we had little to fight with. The Lady we were leasing from appeared to not be all that well off. The State offered here $1000.00 US per acre. Turns out that she was wealthy in her own right, with strong hidden assets. She could afford a very good Attorney.

She fought the State and ended up loosing only 11 acres and received slightly over 1 million USD’s for her trouble.

So it went from 1000 USD per acre to just under 100,000.00 per acre by having the where with all to fight the action.

Fantastic work knife! and I am all too familiar with the eminent domain issue and I live right under the flight path of the jets from detroit metro airport and they took whole neighborhoods away from people making them take crap offers for destroying communities it’s very sad. By the way detroit metro airport isn’t in detroit, that would be detroit city airport go figure.

It would feel good for a while. 😆 But with having a little leo experience, (That’s law enforcement officer for you UK guys,) I’ve spent a little time visiting the penitentiaries around the area. It just isn’t worth the vacation time. Here is what you get. Free food-Free board-free sex.All in places you don’t want.

Hopefully one day he will have the pleasure of experiencing it first hand for himself! 😈

With your inside-knowledge you’d be best placed to get away with it.

Scum like that simply need to be eradicated from the gene-pool, for the good of all humanity. They don’t deserve to share oxygen with decent people.

Strange how they’re always hand-in-glove with the state though, ain’t it?

Vile fucking scum, the lot of them.

I can still remember when he didn’t have all that much. Now I understand he is the 7th richest man in the state. We all know what the next step is. Politician. Probably Governor or President 😉
