I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE THOUGHT THAT I WOULD HAVE THIS MANY ISSUES WITH SUCH EXSPENSIVE EQUIPMENT!!!
my cricket had a shroud clipping issue! =1600$
My small air venturi tank got a leak in the knob with in a couple of uses= 300$
Brand new shoebox missing vent knob, and blew the fuse on first start up! = 1200$
Now it seems as if the pump or motor is binding some how because it is really hard to move by hand and apon first switching the shoebox to start the motor just gave an electrcal vibration noise then the fuse blew!
WHAT THE F#€& IS UP WITH THE AIRGUN WORLD! I am really regretting moving from powder to air! I have spent 2100$ more on this one gun then I would have any other powder burner. And atleast with a powder burner you know it is going to shoot.
I have never been more frustrated with a hobby and I have had a lot of hobbies all much cheaper then this hobby and all much more reliable!

I don’t know about that, mines still out of service………..AND my cricket shoots GREAT!!! Crono’d cricket yesterday 871 to 880 in all 56 shots.

I’m sure zonk wouldn’t agree with u after reading uk forums his Vulcan s faulty in a massive way and the shop that sold it him refusing to touch it yet how long has his cricket run faultlessly all air guns have issues and the Vulcan isn’t faultless far from it

a Vulcan does not fix the compressor! my gun is now shooting really well. I am just saying it is crazy to me, that such expensive pieces of equipment is aloud to slip through the cracks!

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes Chad. You mentioned that your Shoebox is new, so you need to get with the manufacturer/dealer to rectify the issue. You airtank issue may be an easy fix (may be an O-ring that needs to be replaced). Try bringing it to an authorized SCUBA shop or Sport Chalet to see what they can do. Good that you have the clipping issue sorted out on your Cricket though. Bad luck happens in all hobbies. That’s just the reality I’ve experienced in all my hobbies. When issues are squared away though, everything is golden again. 😉 Also remember, you can’t shoot powderburners at home like you can with your Cricket! 😉
That really sucks dude. Tom Kaye will take care of your shoebox though! Mine had what I thought was an issue.. Tom sent me replacement parts free of charge even though I figured out there really wasn’t a problem.. He told me to keep the parts as spares anyway. Really good dude. And this isn’t an isolated incident.. He does it for every shoebox owner. The tank leak could just be a cheap and easily replaced seal if you unscrew the valve. Your issues could be easily fixed, but it really does suck you got hit with all this at once. When it rains, it pours.

strongly agree, but as a married with 3 kids and active duty, I would go crazy with no out let. but right now I am going more crazy with my outlet
