Accuracy problems at high FPE
I have serious accuracy issues pushing kodiaks at almost 80 FPE and I have tried using eunjins at 43.2 grains. Still no luck? Condor 24″ with extreme valve. The shot string is good 14 to 15 shots 20 fps spread.

Huh? ❓
is what i got
Harry,
Have you tried the ring slugs? (Sorry if I forgot…)
Did you get the 0.251 or .253″ diameter slugs?
I wouldn’t mind trying these out because the only pellet that is very accurate on my .25’s is the JSB King, and the 26gr Predator. I am lucky though in that the JSB is accurate through a wide range from 900fps to 1,060fps, but of course it’s unquestionably same-hole (better) at <1,000fps. The Kodiaks are not bad, but once in a while I ‘d get a flier so I stopped using them, and Eun Jins just plain stink in my Condors, except for the .22 (28.4gr) inside 35yds.
So I really have no heavy pellets to shoot that are accurate as I would like. I am basically using a 90fpe Condor (with 43gr) at 50-60fpe, as I am sure many others are. Not that it won’t kill critters just the same at the lower FPE, but it would be nice to throw heavies like 40-70gr slugs accurately or close to the JSB’s, and at long ranges, >50yds.
What is his website ? How can he be contacted ?
BINGO JSBs at 950 was accurate as all get out 3 shot 1 hole group at 65 but not the nitch I need the gun to fill. 50 FPE is not what I needed
I think cast ammo is the key on this one! I cant wait to try your 7 rings. I have heard nothing but good stuff about them!
Well, there you have it! Accuracy and high power, great combo.
Ok so after close to 400 pellets this weekend I have it figured out. The company I got it from said dime size groups at 75 yards and also said 80 fpe with kodiaks. After 400 pellets the claims are accurate but not together. I can shoot hole in hole at 65 when the JSB kings are around the 50 fpe range. This is the only pellet that this gun likes. The cure…..ROBERT VOLGELS 70 GRAIN HOLLOW POINTS!!!!!. Hole in hole accuracy at 35 yards AT OVER 100FPE!!!!! I cant belive what a night and day difference this makes. I was lucky my FIL has just about every type of pellet made and several bullets from different makers. I tried them all when the gun was cranked up and spitting out the kodiaks at 77 fpe and the enjins were close to 90 Needless to say I placed a order today and have finaly got a 100 fpe power house. It is looking like 14 shots at 20 fps spread with an average at just over 100 FPE.
To fast. Mid 900’s is where it’s going to work best. I was told anything over 905 fps (mach .82) with pellets is when they start to have problems. Kodiacs are not very consistent on chrono so I’m sure that translates into poor groups. JSBs at 950 fps work great.
I cleaned my barrel once and it did shoot funny for quite awhile till it got leaded up again, maybe I had to wear the polish off.
Try the Kodiaks around 1030ish and Eujins around 940ish.

It is .250 sized slugs. I am shooting them out of a 24″ condor with a choke
