Advice needed! Leaking Valve

Hi guys,

I have a standard Gunpower Stealth, up to last week all was well. After a few shots, i noticed that air was slightly leaking from the valve stem. I took a few more shots and the valve seemed to seal itself again.

The next day after approx 5 shots the valve was once again leaking air from the stem, although this time i didnt stop until it completely emptied the tank this time. (took approx 10 mins).

I have managed to remove the valve from the bottle ( Bloody Loctite!) and have taken apart the valve and given it a good clean. There does not appear to be any swarf or other contaminants around the delrin seal. I have cleaned everything and reinstalled the valve on the bottle.

The problem is that what ever i do now the bottle wont hold any air, it just starts to leak through the stem as soon as any air goes in the bottle.

I have also had the burst disk on and off that much now trying different valve spring loads that it doesnt seal either now!

Is the valve knackered? should just i order a new one or try and repair this one?

All advice welcome, thanks for reading.

If you have a friend on that side of the pond, that will be the easiest route to take mate. Get them to order one then ship it to you.I don’t think Airforce will deal with UK buyers. If you want an uprated one, get the Condor valve. Blod valves are like rocking horse shit…

Hey thanks for the reply Pablo,

First of all i like your selling techniques! 😀

Seriously though, i think i prefer to get a new valve rather than mess around with trying to get parts for this one. I have previously emailed Gunpower in relation to getting a new breech, didnt even get a response!!

I would like to get a slightly uprated valve. I dont know whether it would be better to try and order a new Talon valve from the US or to try and get one of the Blodnob/Selphb valves.

Any thoughts of which would be better/easiest?

Crappy stock valves !! 👿 👿
Burst disk leaking and delrin seal letting air by??!!
You are now on a journey of frustration baloo 😥
You want a new burstdisk and delrin seal.
OR… try spinning the delrin seal in place to try and reseat it, but you gonna want a new burst disk.
OR… get a 2nd hand blod or selphb valve(will eventually need new stem, ask blodnob nicely but don’t hold breath, hes a VERY busy man) or new condor valve.
Crap and not what you want to hear, but been down that road and know where it goes….
On the other hand, check out a complete package I have for sale in the…For sale section.. 😀
