Q:

AirForce Factory Buttstock … Better Solution

Recently, Tom Gaylord illustrated on his blog the proper stock placement on the shoulder.

Not into the shoulder … But, literally resting ON the shoulder.

Very unconventional to say the least.
Seems to me the single-point-contact of the factory stock is very lacking.

Perhaps, what is needed is an equally unconventional buttstock design.

The shape of the Duostock butt profile would seem an almost perfect compliment to the AirForce tank/stock configuration.

Kind of pricey but I really like it. Makes a great rifle ergonomic.

Where do you get that stock? I like it ALOT….

You really aren’t supposed to hold an unmodified Condor or Talon, as they are designed as artillery pieces (linear vs. ergonomic).

Naked? 🙄

OMF I can’t Stop laughing at secoda!! Naked!@!!!!!!!!

That frame sized shroud is something to behold!

I think Tony at TT is the only person who makes anything
remotely similar here in the Colonies. Just makes sense that
the extra diameter would add volume and effectiveness to
the shrouds performance.

I now realize that my accuracy will improve if I shoot in the buff but can I expect an increase in velocity too?

Generally speaking, the greater the number of strokes, the less the accuracy, but the greater the fps upon discharge!

It’s a trade-off that only you can decide on.

shit i shoot butt naked

I now realize that my accuracy will improve if I shoot in the buff but can I expect an increase in velocity too?

Episode #9

I’ve seen this video before.
At the time I was more interested in decibel data.
But, hadn’t paid much attention to the shooters hold.
Thanks for the reminder.

Does anyone have a photo of how to properly hold an unmodified Condor/Talon in the standing and/or offhand position?

I’ve read the muzzle is always supposed to be pointed away from your shoulder.

Now it is different in a modified Condor. If it is equipped with a shroud, the shroud is always supposed to be pointed away from your shoulder. That’s what I read in Gaylord’s column anyways.

Gaylord shoots naked??? I believe that to be a shooter’s option and not mandatory.

Perhaps someone can build on this advice, as this is as much as I can come up with on short notice.

Kindest Regards,

Hoot 😯

Here is a Talon SS.
