Q:

airforce products= disappointment 4 me

Been seeing a lot of airforce guns for sale the last couple days, am I missing something? Is there a great new gun that everyone is getting rid of the talon/condor for? I have been disappointed in my condor from day one but with everyone selling I don’t think I will be able to sell for a price anywhere close to what I paid. To spend 600-700 on a gun that has to be worked on to shoot consistently is b/s in my opinion. To spend anymore on an expensive gun doesn’t make any points with the wife either. I guess I’m just not wealthy or patient enough for these guns. Sorry for the rant, I just had to get it out.

The gun functions like it should in my opinion. I think it just needs fine tuned to shoot the 14g pellets or I need to buy heavier pellets. The gun doesn’t shoulder very well, I know “get the wok but” but I don’t want to put the $ into something I may never get the feel of. I was offered some nice guns in trade but none of them have the power or value of the condor. I adjusted the top hat down to .070 last night (I don’t have a chrony and probably never will) and hope I can get more then 28 shots without the tank dumping on me. Sighting in has been difficult, I never thought I’d need a laser to make shots under 30 yrds but a scope wont zero on a condor until @ 30yrds. I know I can use the mil dot and get it kinda close. I want to shoot in the back yard some also. Maybe I should of bought the 9mm kit because if it’s going to be a loud gun it might as well make a big hole. Maybe I need to give it more time. I get frustrated easy on some simple things but I still think a $600 gun should shoot well out of the box. My first tank dumped after 15 shots, frustrating to pump it from empty after 15 shots. I can’t depend on the gun. My discovery cost 1/3 of the condor and is a better gun all around.

Airforce Air Rifles have a very good Warranty. With a new Just send it back to the factory and they will fix any Defects.

The Condor has a High Learning Curve, Read and ask questions, This is the source of All the Information needed to Enjoy your rifle.

NO where else will give you or even know the knowledge collected on this Site. Not even Airforce.

As far as Accuracy and function never a problem. HPA was not consistent until the TAG straightened me out. Thanks to the TAG. They realized I had a bad fill clamp Gauge.

What exactly are the probs you’ve had with it?

I think a lot of people look at all the mods and tunes that folks do to their AF guns and figure that the gun will never be completely up to snuff unless they do the same. Simply not true.

Kinda like buying a stock Mustang or Porsche. The car will go like a bat out of hell as it is, but some folks aren’t satisfied unless they put a supercharger on it.

AF guns are plenty accurate right out of the box. Some people just aren’t satisfied with “plenty”. 😉

Absolutely.

I spent much less on my .25 Tuned Condor than I did my DAQ .457. I am still pretty pleased with it just as I am with the DAQ.

Post up the problems and let everyone help you solve them .. lot’s of knowledgeable airforce wrenches around here 🙂

I hate to hear it for you. Mine has been great from day one.
First as a 12″ bbl in .20. Later with a hot rodded valve in 18″ .22. Then a Condor valve in the .22. And now a slightly modded Condor valve with a 21 1/2″ .25.

None of it had to be done. It was all my decision, and done for the pure enjoyment of it. In fact, I wish I had all the spare parts and frame to have one complete gun in each configuration. they all did what was expected of them and more.

If you are having that many problems with your gun, why not send it to AF under warranty? That is what it is for.

As for the Many for sell, hell, cruze the other AG forms. There are a heck of a lot of AG’s for sell right now. From the entry level to the high end guns. More than usual by a long shot. More to do with the economy than any thing else.

As to it being expensive, that’s probably form your perspective not having been in the PCP realm of things for long. The AF Rifles are just about the LEAST expensive high power PCP’s out there. That said, PCP Air guns aren’t for every body. They are the Elate of high power air guns.

Well that is one reason I waited and bought one that had been tuned and used. You can find some good deals out there and I am very pleased with my tuned Condor.
